Looking for something that is a page turner. Thinking something in the realm of fiction/sci fi/fantasy. I look on goodreads and the recommendations and readers choice. But it's overwhelming I can't find anything. TIA

The book club did Ready Player One a while back and it had generally great reviews.

There's a recommendation a few threads down about Library at Mount Char which a few of us read and have loved.

seems like the first two are dystopian which aren't my favorite.

All Your Wrong Todays isnt dystopian at all. It's great.

Red Rising starts off a little dystopian, but becomes more sci-fi quickly. It's been pretty unanimously well received by TMBers. Its a fun, fast paced roller coaster ride.

The Brilliance Trilogy is also a fun series.

Finally got around to starting this last night. 35% through and I'm really enjoying it. Growing up in the 80's probably has a lot to do with it

Assume you mean RPO. Actually haven't started it. It's on the list as soon as I finish the Drawing of the Three.

I just finished Paradox Bound by Peter Clines. I can't recommend it enough.

I enjoyed book 1 and lesser extent 2 of red rising but book 3 was a flaming pile of shit where character decisions, plot “twists” and dialogue were a fucking joke.

sounds fairly interesting. Have you read any other of Clines' books? Looks like '14' and 'The Fold' have good reviews.

Is Library at Mount Char similar to Strange the Dreamer? The premise sounds somewhat similar? I read Strange, but not Library. Anyone read both by chance?

Also... Caraval by Stephanie Garber was a pretty solid quick fantasy/sci-fi read. Would recommend.

Another fantasy/sci-fi I found extremely well-written was Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker

Have you looked at Old Man’s War? I enjoyed it. 6 book series if you get into it. I’ve only read the first 3 but started over yesterday. If you use audiobooks, you might skip these as it’s a lot of he said I said writing which imo doesn’t translate to audio well.

Ender’s Game is one of my favorite sci-fi books of all time if you haven’t read it.

Was going to say RPO but you read it. I also ripped through it in 2 days. Was a fun time as an 80s kid

Haven’t read Strange, but take the time and read Library. It’s really amazing.
