I assume you're talking about the boot coming off the steering rack. If it's only been a couple months it really shouldn't be an issue. It should have some variation of a hose clamp securing it, which is easily replaceable (regardless of the model).

Limiteds are gaudy messes, with the ugliest interiors year after year. The Platinum with the Brunello interior is the way to go.

I had a 2wd s-10 for many years. It was awesome. A cheap little 2wd pickup isn't bad at all. I would never ever buy a 2wd full sized truck.

I agree with this. A 2WD S10 or Ranger (which I used to have in college) are damn convenient.

It's a lease; I get one lease vehicle with my job each year.

But if I were buying it it'd be around $45k.

Raptors are fucking amazing; my buddy has one of the 6.2L's and it blows me away.

That being said, I would never personally buy one brand new (and they're not even a lease option for me, either). Just too much dough.

Any opinions on bed liners? Mine came with a plastic fit in one that I hate. Are the DIY bedliners worth it? Or should I just bite the bullet and do linex?

    Don't do it.

I put the DIY shit in the tub of my old Jeep and it wore off from my feet working the clutch/gas within a month. I couldn't imagine how quick it would peel and flake off once you start sliding stuff on and off it and being in the elements

That's also what i'm planning for my next vehicle. I do a lot of highway miles and while the fuel savings will probably never pay for itself I hear they are great long distance trucks.

I dunno. 40k for a fully loaded truck? Seems legit. My boss paid over 40 for my tahoe and that drinks like a lush

My truck that is posted in here unfortunately was totaled.

Now I've been looking at 1-2 year old trucks and see quite a few f150s for sale that were imported from Canada.

Anyone from up North can vouch for getting a truck from our northern neighbors? It's currently for sale in WI.

Should I be worried about rust on a 2016? It was owned about an hour west of Toronto.

The guy at dealership said its just surface rust and nothing to worry about.

I live in FL and don't know if that's accurate or I should move along to another truck.

These trucks being imported from CA are priced nice because of the currency exchange.

I almost bought a truck from Canada when I was shopping. After looking into it I decided against it. From what I was reading, the warranties can be voided and there are often concerns about legitimacy of what is actually sold/bought.

Edit: here is an older article on it — https://www.edmunds.com/about/press...on-canadian-cars-according-to-edmundscom.html

Lived up north and the salt on the roads in winter tore up the underneath of my Tahoe. I had the car for 10+ years though so I think it was a long process. A year or two and it’s probably fine, but check out underneath the truck would be my advice.

Car and Driver has an article about the car buying process and now in almost all purchase agreements you’ll end up signing a clause that protects dealers in the event they tell you something untrue.

So basically they can lie to your face.

Cluster is essentially the same, but you have to go into the settings and change your preferences. I have to do it every time I drive one of our export units; takes 1 minute to do.
