Been to two and they were similar. Hit Leafly if you have specific things you're looking for as menus are on there.

Tons of tailgating around the stadium and over by the baseball field. I'd guess you could just walk around the area drinking beer and people would probably invite you over in some places.

Food get local boyz but it may not be worth the line on game day. For bars after Clods is good close to campus but the craziness will be the Peacock which has an upstairs and downstairs. Another one I always liked was Harrisons which is more of a local bar but is good fun and right next to greasy burrito joint. For breakfast Sunday the good places are Broken Yolk or Sam's Station

When I'm in Corvallis for work, I enjoy their brewery scene. I like Block 15(although typically busy) and Flat Tail Brewing, which is better. These places also have really good food. As said, Local Boyz is great if you are drinking. It's cheap but not really authentic. Lot of food for your buck though.

If you haven't done hard cider in the Northwest before, go to 2 Towns Cider. They are one of the few places that uses old English style cider apples for some of their cider. It's really good and reasonable. Cider is just a lot better in the Northwest

Flat Tail Brewing has substantially worse beer than Block 15.

2 Towns is legit. Love me some Rhubarbarian. There's a bar near where I live that serves the Bad Apple (10.5% abv) in a pint glass :drunk:

I go to Flat Tail for their trivia periodically and it's decent beer if you stick to their IPA's and they've recently had a good anniversary sour but it's miles behind Block 15.

    food is garbage there too

Also for you B1G fans coming down to Corvallis/Eugene for Football games, do not leave on gameday from Portland! Drive down the night before and get a Air bnb or something because the traffic will be absolutely horrible that day with two home games and two traveling visiting fanbases.

Yep that's what we are doing. I actually got a little nervous about rental cars last night after hearing the Husks were in Eugene so I booked a rental car last night and we'll be driving down to Corvallis just after rush hour on Friday.

Is there a particular reason you recommended block 15 south of town instead of downtown?

Not as busy. Great outside porch space overlooking the hills vs downtown. We like the food more, it's more specialty stuff and light fare. Downtown is more generic bar food.

Downtown will a very long wait on game day weekend. Bombs away cafe is also a nice little place and a fun bar right next to campus on the Main Street. Good margaritas

I think the knock would be it's not necessarily unique cuisine, even if it is a staple and really good. Meriwethers, Higgins on the west side with more choices than I can think of on the east side provide a more unique experience. Still a place I always recommend.

How is the rooftop patio at 10 barrel brewery and the product at Mindrite dispensary? Both are basically on our route from PDX to Corvallis.

It was quite packed last Friday at 2 while I waited on my buddy to get back from the airport? I was downstairs at the time but that entire place was full. I wondered if people worked.

Go to salt and straw after. Union Jacks is a ways from there. Not too familiar with the "establishments" around there.

Jake's has been open since like 1900. McCormick bought them in the 70s and then hired Schmick as his manager. They later became partners and are now the chain.

I always recommend the Acropolis for great beer, good steak, and nice tits. If you are feeling adventurous go to Casa Diablo and make sure to pay to go the the tent out back for some out of the normal action.

They seem to be expanding too quickly. Opening something in DTLA, north county SD, Anaheim and now Portland. Kind of skeptical they can keep quality up across the board. :twocents:

Well, it looks like almost the entire Oregon side of the Columbia gorge will soon be under flames, including the iconic Multnomah falls. So I'd suggest stay away from there.
