Eriksen has been in ridiculous form for a solid couple years now, I'm glad to see it happening for Denmark as well.
yea i think he needed more space and he's getting that now. we just need to win out and we'll at least get 2nd. too bad we were bad the first few games, because we beat the dick of Poland friday.
will play the 3rd place team of the other Asian group(Australia or Saudi Arabia) and the winner of that plays CONCACAF
Iran, South Korea, Japan are the automatic qualifiers from Asia thus far. Australia/Saudi will be the fourth depending on the latter's game today.
Not at all. Chile has Ecuador at home where they should get 3 points. Peru has Argentina away and then Colombia at home so they could easily get only 1 point or 0 points from the final two games. If Paraguay win tonight against Uruguay it would get very interesting though.
Nothing definite but sounds like Syria will play their "home game" in Malaysia just as they did this round.
So FIFA is now seeding all 4 pots in the WC draw based on coefficient, which would be kind of a big deal if the USMNT wasn't so fucking awful
Seeing a lot of flack for this, but all credit to them as long as it's safe. Much more sensible approach than recent Olympics or WC construction nonsense They said "at least 12" will be selected, so I'm going to do 14. For me: Toronto Montreal Guadalajara Mexico City NYC/NJ Miami Chicago LA Seattle Houston DC Denver Atlanta Bay Area
this is WaPo Soccer writer: All three Mexican bidding cities (Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey) are widely expected to make the final cut. Canada will probably settle for two venues, with Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and Edmonton in the running. 16 specific venues in all for the first World Cup with 48 teams (a 50 percent increase). So I would go Guadalajara Mexico City Monterrey (fabulous stadium fwiw) Toronto (tough call btwn MTL, really no great facility) Vancouver NYC/NJ Miami Chicago Los Angeles Seattle Washington DC Atlanta San Francisco Houston (b/c Dallas got it last time) Denver Las Vegas (idk, could be Dallas/Phoenix/Minny) https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...venues-heres-the-list/?utm_term=.d9d65f90c36c
