more or less. for some reason they thought it would be a good idea for whatever written content remains to be reactions and riffs on what the skips and shannons said on-air.

Who went to Fox Sports for NBA coverage? I don't even know who their national NBA guy(s) was. Fox does have a lot invested in CFB, which started 2+ weeks ago and the build up to week one would have been a significant week for them. This is not the worst part of the year for sports, particularly for a network that owns NFL and CFB rights.
I play fantasy football on ESPN and it's been a few months since I visited their website. Do people regularly go to ESPN.com for fantasy purposes?
