I'm guessing it's probably many of the same guys that carried me through King's Fall the first time. Good dudes.
I'm up for some playing but I got a ways to go. Only around 120 light. A really big woman that blows named Irma put a delay in my gaming. Once I get up there to around 250 I'll be ready.
Yup can join HappyFunTimeJerkOffSexyTime. Couple MBers and some of my personal friends. We raid and you'll get the clan rewards by wednesday or thursday bc of how much we play. I'll shoot you an invite when I get home
Goon hit me up the other day but I didn't respond bc I was afk. I'll be 295+ by the weekend so we can get that flawless.
When I see clan xp points hit in game, are those points that I'm contributing or the group as a whole? Either way, good work for week 1, men.
I'll be home around 5:30 and I'd imagine we'll have enough around 7. Probably gonna have to get a ringer for the 6th slot though.
I have it preordered. Not sure if I'll "main" on PC yet. Depends on if the D2 following on X1 stays strong or not and if I keep playing D2 long-term.
beat the first 2 puzzles of the raid. 3rd one idk how you could figure out without looking it up lol. that was the only part we looked up, but we didnt have time to beat it, and our 6th rage quit cause she's whiney. the raid is massive, but a whole bunch of puzzles so far. also didnt get any drops, just some special coins?
not yet. i was watching goth's team yesterday and they were at the dog part, so we got an idea of what to do. will probably attempt again tonight.
did see a post in the ps4 thread about the sweeper. guessing we turn them into him? bungie said something about a crucible guy being open now?
Yeah that's right but you should have also got an aqueduct key at some point. There's something that goes along with that
feel free to answer it, maybe spoiler it? i do know we got some sort of key as well. for completing the pool part i believe.
Spoiler at the beginning of the raid there is an area directly under the bridge you spawn on with a room that has a lever puzzle. If you move from left to right, 1-6, the pull the levers as 1-5-3-2-4-6. Quickly. That will open an area that is at the mouth of the moat that goes around the area. Not the waterfall side to the left, but the one that has pipes in front to the right. It will look like darkness and inaccessible. Jump into it. You are now at the entrance to a giant labyrinth. The chest resides in there along with 8 others. I could not give you exact directions to if if I tried but root around and you'll find it. It is p crazy how big it is (twss!)
Is 235 too low to do this weeks nightfall? I got a late start on the game but I want to give it a shot this week.
Recommended power is 240. I'd recommend 260. The boss is easy and it seems like the boss will always be easy if your fireteam is the least bit coordinated. You can do it at 240 if you're a good player and you have good players in your fireteam
Don't waste your nightfall reward on 235 power level. Take a couple of hours and grind up to 265 by doing public events and then do the nightfall so you don't waste your powerful reward at that low level.
Anyone made any alts yet? I've read that you don't get the same rewards to do the nightfall twice on the same class, but I'm not sure if that's the same with 3 different classes.
i alawys make one of each. have a titan still from my D1 days. currently am a hunter. debating on if i want to make another hunter so i can share gear, or go ahead and make a lock.
I'll eventually make a warlock and a titan. I usually don't do all activities on each character, but I like switching playstyles for PVP
He has me on his team. On the real though: Always team shot. Lone-wolfing only pays off if your teammates can get FULL attention. We always punished flankers by sticking together, but I was able to occasionally flank and wipe teams when someone like Super Vegeta would put down his big ass titan shield and be in their faces drawing attention, allowing me to get easy kills from a side angle/behind them. Also, it's my opinion that if you have a numbers advantage, e.g. 2 players are team-shotting cross map while 2 others take a different route, you should push as a team toward either the 2 flankers or the 2 cross map and overwhelm them with numbers. We won 90% of our rounds doing this. Most rounds never made it to heavy ammo using the above strategy. Obviously, this takes a bit of team-coordination, communication, and game awareness. We all ran scout rifles (Mida multi tool + another weapon of your choosing, but I recommend either an Auto rifle or a SMG/sidearm).
Add me to the team and we will never lose. I made it with 2 dudes who were around a 1 ka/d. Other guy was a 1.5. I'd call that a carry. Scout rifle combined with an auto rifle is the meta from what I've seen so far (approximately 20 matches). The good thing is that Bungie can change the meta from week to week if they implement diverse maps. This week's map is relatively open and promotes ranged play. Next week, maybe not.
Pretty much this. I'd also sneak through mid with an auto rifle and surprise someone or if they were constantly going through mid I'd just wait(camp) for them and kill one immediately. Rockets are the preferred heavy if everything is even. If you're down in a 2 on 4 scenario let someone that has a sniper equipped grab it. Radar is really powerful, so if you see someone on a long flank just call it out so you and another teammate can collapse on him. Other than that, learn to teamshot well and you'll probably kill someone before they can even react if you're all using the MIDA. I used the MIDA and Uriel's gift (an AR) until I got the trials AR called the prosecutor. I was using an arc titan with 2 pulse grenades and the full shield wall. I have an exotic chest piece (the crest of alpha lupi?) that gives a burst of health every time I deploy a shield wall.
my team is getter our asses kicked in trials. seem to always go to temple when the other team is planting keyhole. def need to work on staying together as 4. also, this raid sucks.
A defense strat that we used, which worked pretty well, was as follows: Send one person to keyhole and watch the area that the opposing team will cross through if they are going keyhole bombsite. This player does not try to kill anyone if they go that way. If you stay in sight very long you will get team shot and melted. You're basically only here for information. A titan with a shield works well here or a warlock with a shield aura. Spam grenades work well in the beginning here too to delay them or weaken them. While this is going on 3 people go temple and shoot across. If they go keyhole, communicate and pinch them from both sides. If they go temple, the person at keyhole rotates into the inner mid lane that looks towards beach. The lfg team I was with made this up on the fly and after a couple of games ran it every time with a lot of success. This way you are are not giving up a whole bomb site. The person giving at keyhole can fall back and still effectively keep them off the bomb site until the rest of the team collapses from the other side.
this is mostly what i started doing. 3 teammates stayed at temple, id rush keyhole to see if they were coming. i just made it to 280. teammates are all 290+, one is a newcomer to destiny, not much of a 1st person shooter.
275 is fine. I started the raid at 260ish. You'll probably be on the lower end of DPS if your raid team are all 280-290ish, but don't let that number discourage you. If someone says you're too low, kindly reference the raid recommended light level (which is 270), and/or leave, because only people: a) that suck care about light level OR b) looking to "speedrun" (which is unrealistic during the first week of raiding). Try to find a group that doesn't mind teaching you or a group that hasn't raided yet. You'll have more fun. Tips: This raid is all about mechanics/communication. Trial and error. It'll take a few tries, but you'll eventually learn what you're doing.
I'm actually playing today with Sadistic and maybe Super Vegeta (are you doing your alt today?), so I'll shoot you an invite if I see you on.
I'll be on after work. We're gonna raid around 7 cst but if you are down I can run a quick card on my warlock around 5:30.
I've got to run some crucible games on my hunter still in order to play trials. I can possibly get that done before tonight.
My titan is doing the same quest, so I'll do those with you. I usually get home from work around 6 est, but I doubt I can get my titan ready for trials before you have to raid. We'll team up next week if we're not able tonight though.
make multiple of the same class so you can get double rewards for the same type of character. make one of each so you can experience them all, and have the right alts for certain situations/team build.
It extends the life of the game. If you enjoy playing the game and want to get the most out of the content then running all 3 characters through the weekly events gives you more to do. It also helps you mix and match roles based on personnel while running raids. I can't count the number of times in Destiny 1 that I switched from a hunter to a warlock, a warlock to a titan, etc. in order to better fill the roles that each group needed for whatever raid or event I was doing.
shout out to ya I think you are the one who explained the game and mechanics to me Hit 220 soon after and now get the hang of what I doing
