I'm surprised you don't just go to the east one for this. Same drink specials but closer to Germantown.
My uncle and his cronies go to the midtown location....and they are unwilling to change anything being 60+ year old, crotchety, old, men. I mostly go to hang with them.

Gold Rush went from $2 to $3 on local drafts for HH. Also from last week, my man Robert Brown Ive seen him lay on the hill on the side of Rosa Parks as you are getting on 65-S . He would be surrounded with vodka bottles. Saw him do an Undertaker sit up, find a bottle, take a pull, and fall back down. Flawless execution.
Dude likes to party. He can also be found passed out under a tree by the Kroger gas pumps. He's part of the reason the security guard at that Kroger is now strapped. Every time I shop at that horrid place he's in line to check out, and he just stares at the cashier and never says a word and eventually walks out. I've also seen him walking around the parking lot with a swiss army knife in his hand, and watch him get dropped as metro PD tasered his ass. Entertaining stories, but sad as hell.
We didn't. Too hungover. Didn't leave the hotel until checkout. Ate some dinner at Back Alley Diner. That BAD-ass burger they have was fucking serious.
Gave our seats to a couple friends for the games yesterday as neither me nor Penguin The Duck could make the early one. They sent me a pic, looks to be a pretty good view.
not sure if serious. From my office there are the following: Martins Bakersfield The Diner Back Alley Diner The Southern Bob's Barlines etc etc
I guess I was speaking more towards quick and healthy lunch places that are more prevelant in NYC/DC and even Green Hills. I love all of the places mentioned above but not really looking to get take out from those nor do I have an hour to dine in on the weekdays.
Agreed. I was thinking more fast salad places like a Chopt or a Protien Bar. Hell I'd take a Zoe's downtown...
closest thing we've got on my end is a freaking jimmy john's and while it works in a pinch... I've gone from loving JJ's to having kind of a hate for it.
Yeah, when Panera in the Suntrust building is cracking the top 5 for fast/casual salad spots, we have a problem lol
Green Hills is a nightmare at lunch. Why anyone would put themselves through that when you only have conceivably an hour to eat is beyond me
Any of you fine gentleman have leads on HR/Compensation roles in the area? The GF is beginning to stress/freak out about finding a job.
Yes. TMB meet up. A good friend of mine has a box so I'm sure we will wind up in there a few times as well.
So I'm looking at a couple jerseys for preds games. I like the salute to service titans one i got but not sure about the NHL version. Maybe I should just go standard home/away?
Except it wouldn't have that patch on it. Yea I really don't think I like that. Plus did the Preds even do something like that like the Titans did?
Hey I quickly moved on from that. I was hoping they would be nicer. Just going with a regular Pk and Johansson ones. Hoping I can find last years style.
https://www.eater.com/2017/9/21/16343192/princes-hot-chicken-profile-nashville Last two paragraphs really are true. Prince’s South is quite different from the original: A mural of Thornton Prince on the back wall, based on previous signage at the original, is the only real similarity between the two. Large televisions cover the walls, while a full bar — a first for Prince’s — juts out near the cash register. The tables, missing the signature picnic tablecloth, have a shiny wood finish. It looks a lot like the inside of a Buffalo Wild Wings. I brought my dad to get his opinion of the dish he introduced to me more than 15 years ago. We ordered medium, the original spice level. Less than 10 minutes after our order was placed, the food arrived, which made my dad perk up immediately — it’s widely quipped that the longer you wait for hot chicken, the better it is, because you know it hasn’t been sitting under heat lamps all day. As we dug into the chicken thighs, our hands took on that familiar fiery red tint. We stopped talking for a moment to take a bite. I looked to my dad as he stared down at the chicken. Without taking a breath or looking up, he said, “It’s just not the same.”
Anyone been to the stillery? Looking to grab dinner downtown at a new place tomorrow night with the wife prior to sylvan esso. It's got great reviews, but I've never heard about it from anyone.
