I'm gonna assume anything other than dead orbit will result in an L but I think the faction rewards will be my deciding factor
Just beat that nightfall twice with 6ish minutes remaining. Shit is annoyingly hard but doable. That boss is a good 5+ minute fight.
Just had the single greatest butt clenching moment of my life in PVP. Last guardian standing 2v1 Match point for both sides 15 seconds remaining Roll the tape: Game ends with no time on the clock.
haha I thought so too, but I think the 2nd time we did it with 7+ min left on the clock and that's with me completely wasting a special at the boss fight on nothing cause I'm an idiot. Just had to think about a lot of it and nail down a few steps. Need smart teammates. Having someone know the anamolies is essential. Two hunters with gunslinger for bosses and riskrunners for crowds is great
... Then again the two people I did it with were GM in overwatch so maybe they are just ridiculous at vidya games...
Dead orbit 4 lyfe Desiny trying to make its pvp halo is turning me off of the game. Camping with scouts is not fun. I hope there is a substantial change made to pvp balancing soon. Destiny just doesn't deel right at its current snails pace pvp.
I couldn't agree with you more. I haven't done trials yet but just basic PVP can become excruciating if you're on a team that doesn't roll as a unit and everyone is using MIDA. It's not fun. They add subs to the game and basically render the run and gun style obsolete. I really hope it changes
You did that shit without me? SOB. I'm still trying to get the ol Rat King. Also, does anyone use blink in the Crucible?
Blink is the best movement ability in Destiny 2. Just gotta learn how to play without using the radar as a crutch though, bc it disables the radar for an infuriatingly long time after each blink.
Ok take what type of gun they are out of the equation and just go with the most desirable perk. Dragonfly>>>>Snapshot>>>> than whatever weird ass perk the scout had
Haha duuuude my B... But yeah I was doing it thinking we had no shot... It went from not even close to beating it (about 1.5 when we got to the boss which is an auto loss) to the very next time finishing with 4 then time after that 7
Tried the Nightfall last night, and we completely shit ourselves in the beginning and ran out of time. Once we started concentrating fire and dropping the heavy health enemies one by one, we started gaining some traction, but that timer just seems impossible. I'm a level 273 light hunter, so if anyone is interested in helping me and/or showing me the way it'd be greatly appreciated. My gamertag is Wykked13 if anyone ever sees me on. I'm usually up for any game type, so if you even need an extra hand knocking out some other things, just holler.
Think I'm going Future War Cult.... From the weapons that are only available for your specific faction as I understand it are: Dead Orbit: Scout Rifle, Shotgun Future War Cult: Scout Rifle, Auto Rifle, Hand Cannon New Monarchy: Scout Rifle, Submachine Gun, Shotgun Of those 3, I prefer FWC.... The special prize weapons I can buy with glimmer regardless, so whatever. (Though, even then, I still like the FWC Pulse Rifle best as far as I can tell)
I feel like this is the easiest Nightfall yet actually. Granted, I only played the first one 1x, but this one seemed much easier.
Got the guantlets and pools... We had the dogs killed on the very first round, but there was miscommunication and everyone rage quit. Would like to knock it and Callus out here before evening time.
I've gotten pretty pissed at some of the randoms in the raid party, but I haven't rage quit yet. Was really close when one guy was zealously insistent that his overly complicated fucked up rotating maneuver was the easiest way to complete the gauntlet, and would not consider the two team system.
We don't do two team. We shoot ours and the one to the right. The dude across the map from me and I always shoot the top available. Dudes next to me shoot the bottom available.
Of the 2x I've done gauntlet (both ways), I thought rotating was by far the easiest fwiw. 2 teams, shoot what your runner calls (or the lower/higher of it) and everyone hits a pillar once. Rinse, repeat, gauntlet complete in 15 minutes.
Well it sure wasn't easier that night. Two team seems less complicated to me. Everyone is responsible for their own platform, shoot the top, punch your councillor in the face, shoot the bottom of your buddy's arrows, repeat. To each his own though.
We started doing that shoot the top or shoot the bottom but with people across from each other always shooting top and the ones next to you always shooting bottom its simpler. I never had to think. If it was Top I shoot middle if it was anything else I shoot top on all symbols.
They're both pretty easy, truthfully. To me it's just easier, because you're running with the runner and only listening for his voice. His next callout is what you shoot, and there's just a lot less chance for error once everyone is on the same page imo. Also, you have 2 folks on councillor duty so platformers never have to worry about it.
I like the rotating method because people seem to focus better when doing it and it gets done quicker with newbs. But the platform method is really simple as well
Definitely recommend watching "How To" YouTube videos for each checkpoint. It really helped me for the guantlet, and just helps put everything into context before going into it. The gauntlet is probably the easiest part, but when someone was trying to explain it, I was confused af. Watched a video and my team finished it in like 15 minutes the next time. (I was the only one in that group who hadn't beaten it yet.)
