I don't think they have identified one yet. It's really the worst case scenario for disaster preparedness experts. Someone who fits no established profile. A deranged, mentally unstable but very intelligent wild card acting alone and leaves no clues behind.
And in other news, I mustered up the emotional nuts to walk down to Mandalay Bay this afternoon. It's like being in a dream. All the people at the memorials writing and praying. It reminded me of Gettysburg for some reason. All the law enforcement command tents at the concert grounds. The traffic at a standstill with all the gawkers. And then you see those 2 little bitty windows with blowing curtains way up high. For some reason the air around me suddenly got dusty
Has any one mentioned the rifle he purchased on the way to Las Vegas hasn't been found? I saw something about it earlier but couldn't substantiate it.
Per poster on the UCF Rivals board so take it for what it's worth.... "Hmmm...he received 2 phone calls immediately after the shooting started. One from Hong Kong and one from the UAE. Also definitely had someone staying with him. Could be an interesting twist." Later post after someone asked if it could be spam calls... "Personal cell. His last activity was at noon then nothing until those calls. I also highly doubt they were spam. Most people don't get spammed from the UAE. FBI is taking a hard enough look that they put it in the brief." Final post after ask if he was sharing classified information... "Nothing classified in anything I share. Most of it comes out in the news not long after. It's difficult to get straight news these days without bias and I find the FBI briefing sheet to be the best source. I'm skeptical at this point of everything I see on the news until it shows up in the brief."
I can almost assure you he had zero intention of doing this at Lollapalooza, nor were they "decoys". There's no way he could have flown even one of his assault rifles into the city of Chicago. His best chance would have been to fly into a surrounding state then drive all his guns into DT Chicago, which seems way too risky considering there are enough festivals/concerts right in his home area that he could have used. I think the most plausible theory is that he was booking hotels at these other fests to scout out his plan for Vegas. It just wouldn't make any sense for him to travel to pull it off.
The other festival (Life is Beautiful) he booked was in Vegas. As mentioned prior I don't think flying with that arsenal was ever on the table, but driving would have been. Also there were a ton of other logistical issues that would have made that very difficult in that hotel. If he was merely scouting he wouldn't have booked two rooms though. Also the weather was really bad during the first part of the festival including one of the days being evacuated which probably would have led to some apprehension on his part.
does posting "stevie wonder can see" count as a conspiracy theory or is it just generally accepted as fact at this point
is this a conspiracy theory? the police said the shooting started 20 seconds or so before they originally thought. This seems to corroborate that.
I thought I was about to have a blow out at work just now but it turned out to be a real false flag operation.
Theory goes he was taking pop shots to correct his distance before unloading. Or thats when he was aiming for the gas tanks.
What is he going to drive? A package van? That wouldn't be suspicious checking that bitch into a hotel. 20+ rifles and supplies would fill up the back of an escalade pretty quickly.
work vans, trucks and such are very common in hotel parking lots how did he transport the guns to the Mandalay?
I realize that I rarely venture out of the political threads (and the dad threads) but who the hell are all of the posters on this page? Has TMB been overrun by Russian bots?
Yes, and I'm sure you're well aware that driving 1500+ miles with multiple assault rifles and dozens of cases of ammo is an insane risk to take just to attack a larger festival. If he got pulled over at any point on that drive his whole plan could have been ruined.
Y'all are vastly overestimating the amount of attention people pay to shit imo. No one cars if someone shows up to a hotel with 10 suitcases; if they do notice they'd just laugh at him for packing so many clothes. Edit: referring to at the hotel not driving if he gets pulled over or something.
Has anyone in here ever been pulled over and had their trunk searched? I guarantee I could drive my sedan to Vegas from Florida and not have my trunk searched.
As someone who came here from the UCF rivals board, I can tell you that at this point the UCF rivals board is populated EXCLUSIVELY by deranged glue sniffing weirdos.
UCF rivals board posters, which are the basically the same thing. Probably the idiots I've seen in Orlando with infowars bumper stickers.
It's very possible that he actually did drive all the way to Chicago with a car full of guns, but changed his mind and never checked into the room he had reserved. The idea that he could not possibly travel in a car with all of that, when what he actually did for the Mandalay Bay thing was travel in a car with all of that, is a little strange. Even if he gets stopped for speeding, why would they search his car? I'm assuming he doesn't have guns and bullets just strewn all over the car.
