Also, I found this interesting... I definitely knew this was happening, but it's nice to see it spelled out.
Isn't the power level cumulative? It would be interesting to see that same analysis on the nightfall as a 265 level in total vs a 300, rather than just a few points overall.
Yeah, but a difference of just a few points isn't all that significant if it is cumulative. The way he explained it was how it worked in destiny 1, though. Light difference only mattered when the opponent was your level or higher iirc.
just started the destiny 2 download...about to go take a Board exam...then play Destiny until my eyes bleed. Tell me all the things a beginner needs to know or link an article..thanks bros
If you have the time and want to know the entire destiny story, this is a good watch. One tip is when you get a legendary or exotic weapon you like, combine that with a higher light level of the same weapon to keep increasing its power.
Had two Sins of the Past rocket launchers drop on me during the raid last night, I now have 3. It'd be nice to get some other stuff. Who would like to do the Nightfall tonight and get the clan engram?
The grind from 260 to 280 is tough. Anyone got any tips? Feel like I’ve been stuck around 269 forever. Finally got to 271 with a lucky drop that I could move some gear around.
It is tough but do the milestones and it's not that bad Flashpoint, crucible solo and if you can nightfall
Thought this week's nightfall was toughest yet. Took a few tries, but eventually clocked it with ~2 minutes left after some minor anomaly cheesing & also some invisible cheesing to get those void balls in. Has anyone tried a nightfall on Prestige? I tried this one last night twice and I feel like it's laughably impossible. You just get so little time to start it's dumb
We tried several times the other night. We're all over 300 and it still seemed impossibly hard. Definitely the hardest one yet.
Ugh, I have problem enough with the regular nightfall let alone one even harder Side note started a warlock, not sure I am sold on the drift jump thing but like some of the other perks
Didn't play Destiny 1 picked this up after a lot of peer pressure from bro in law. Just started a Hunter, will be glad to tag along with TMB bros after I beat campaign. GT: ChuckDollarhyde
We hunters are far from the master race but goddam we are easily the coolest mother fuckers in Destiny
Iron Banner this week. I'd like to find a group to play it with, the clan hasn't exactly been conducive to finding people to group up with.
I finished the raid last week, but beat a couple checkpoints without my clan, so I didn't get the engram , because no one else actually beat it. Ok.... What are the top guns for each class? I need a reference list to know what not to break down. Auto-Rifles: God tier: Uriel's Gift Origin Story Jiangshi AR4 The Prosecutor (Though I haven't used it) Solid Tier: Ghost Primus Scathelocke Hard Light Halfdan The Number Shit/immediate dismantling tier: Valakadyn Martyr's Make Preserverence Solemn Hymn Notes: Did not include Sweet Business as I think it's in a class of it's own. Similarly, since the Cold Heart is the only trace rifle (use autos to infuse) I'd put that here, but again, class of it's own. Scout Rifles: God Tier: Mida Multi-tool Nameless Midnight (I chose Origin Story from Zavala, how DO I GET THIS?? Just do strikes and increase rep until he gives me one?) Tone Patrol Solid Tier: Seven Six Five Mananann SR4 Pleiades Corrector (Love using this in PvE -- stacks like origin story. Only tried once or twice in PvP and did not like) Conspirator The End Does Not Compute Shit Tier: Frontier Justice (Even though I used it for quite a while) Rocket Launcher: God Tier: Sins of the Past Curtain Call Solid Tier: The Wardcliff Coil Hoosegow Blue Shift Shit Tier: Pentatonic-48 Hand Cannon: God Tier: Sunshot Better Devils Solid Tier: The Old Fashioned True Prophecy Minuet 42 Dire Promise Annual Skate Bad News House of Judgment Shit Tier (or tell me why I'm wrong): Sturm (I wish the Sturm and Drang complimented each other better as gun classes. Sucks they are both such close range) Shattered Peace Shotgun: God Tier: Hawthorne's Field Forged Shotgun Legend of Acrius Solid Tier: Deadpan Delivery Good Bone Structure Shit Tier or I'm doing it wrong: Tractor Cannon First in, Last Out Fusion Rifles: God Tier: Merciless Solid Tier: Shock and Awe Tarantula (since there are only 2 Linear Fusion rifles -- heard this does more DPS than Cold Heart on Calus) Man O' War Shit Tier: Cartesian Coordinate
I don't know about the best guns, but I do have a couple favorites. -Last Hope sidearm tears people apart in PvP if you hip fire. -Nightshade kinetic pulse rifle; really solid in PvP and PvE. -Lincoln Green kinetic pulse rifle; same thing. -I don't use shottys very much, but Hawthorne's Field Forged shotgun has gotta be up there as one of the best. Best weapon in the game is the Sins of the Past rocket launcher, I never want to equip anything else.
Sins of the Past is amazing. Anyone that doesn't have it, but want something similar, use Curtain Call as it's basically the same thing. I don't like Pulse Rifles, but use Vigilance Wing when I do. Graviton Lance might be the worst exotic weapon in the game. That and maybe the Tractor Cannon? Grenade Launcher: Play of the Game The Prospector Fighting Lion (Gimmick weapon imo) Berenger's Wicked Sister Pulse Rifle: God Tier: Vigilance Wing Solid Tier: Inaugural Address Lincoln Green Shit Tier: Graviton Lance (It was my first 305 weapon and I hated using it) Can't remember: Last Perdition Einstein D Nightshade Sidearm: God Tier: Last Hope Etana SI4 Solid Tier: Drang Minimum Distance The Rat King Haven't Used: The Rattler A Swift Verdict Submachine Guns: (Not a fan of this family at all) Mida Minitool Riskrunner Red Mamba Out of Options Royal Dispensation Sniper Rifles: (Honestly though, what's the point, I literally never use them. They seem basically worthless in this game. Which sucks, because they are fun, and there are so many of them) D.A.R.C.I Eye of Foresight Gentleman Vagabond Veleda-D The Mornin Comes Single Clap Mob Justice
Graviton Lance destroys in PvP, though you are right about the Tractor Cannon. Except one guy I played with had it in the raid for the flag planting part before you open the doors. He would use it to push away those yellow bar guys if they got too close to the flag. Only practical use I've seen so far. I would submit Fighting Lion as the worst exotic weapon, it is literally useless.
Wonder if you could use the Tractor Cannon to Lucio style boop the Nightfall boss that is constantly invisible. I just realized that I don't have my Sweet Business anymore. WTF. I hope to god I didn't accidentally break that shit down.
Put the Etana sidearm in the god tier section. The hip fire thing you mention with last hope is even better with Etana due to ergonomic grip. I think martyrs make is solid. The raid pulse is shit tier. The IB pulse and IB auto are god tier in their respective classes. The last coup and the lost prophecy are god tier hand cannons. Merciless > sins of the past everywhere except calus imo
Single Clap is probably the best sniper. The one exotic that changes elements is up there also. Mob justice is a solid sub. They should probably move snipers out of the power category and get rid of grenade launchers
Play of the Game is my go to Power Weapon in crucible. Don't knock it til you try it. It's excellent.
