On a replay of Shadow of Mordor in preparation for this. What a great game. Been slicing and dicing up Uruks.
Watching some streams of this game, it looks like they just took everything from the first one and made it deeper and with even more content. Can’t wait to play it.
Reasons I wont be playing 1. Pay to skip 2. End game progression is focused solely around loot boxes 3. EA 4. It's got that batman type combat thats just counters and combos until you land a finishing move. Boring and not creative or fun. Can I get some real hack n slash gameplay please? I can forgive 1-3 for the right game (battlefront 2) but I just can't deal with that combat, which is a shame because this series has some really neat mechanics.
Game is very good and has some hilarious moments/characters. I have an orc named Gugu the Knower and every time he gets hit or kills something he just says “I knew it!” Also killed an orc 7 times and he just kept coming back. Was called something like Mag the unkillable. Finally ended up cutting off his head and he stayed dead.
Yea ignore Odin. The game is awesome. I’ve never disliked the Batman style of combat but it’s fresh enough because of the massive skill tree. Every character is just dripping with personality now.
You ever gonna get off EAs dick? Pretty much a lock for you and IV to buy every game they put out and slob all over it for months.
Bought it haven’t played it yet. 1st one was great though. Ignore Odin, mainly because I’m the biggest Batman Arkham fan on TMB, so combat doesn’t bug me
There are plenty of EA games/franchises that slide past my radar. I’m just simply never going to say no to expansion of the Tolkien story. But they’ve got a rock-solid library that includes some great entries. I’m not ashamed. Spoiler Alice: Madness Returns Bard’s Tale Battlefield Brütal Legend Burnout Dead Space FIFA Fight Night Mass Effect NBA/NFL Street NCAA Football NHL Rock Band Titanfall Plenty of shit to root through but yeah, I’m a fan.
Unfortunately the EA that did stuff like brutal legend is not the same EA we have today. Which sucks because i'd do shameful things for a brutal legend 2. Ubisoft seems to be turning their shit around, so maybe there's hope for EA in the future. At the same take two has turned into current EA, so maybe this is just AAA gaming now.
Having a blast with this. I like the beefed up skill tree and inventory systems. My only complaint is the number of icons littering the map and the areas are a little too big.
I got so much satisfaction from killing my nemesis. That mother fucker has ambushed me a half dozen times and he started out as just some random orc that got a lucky hit on me.
Running around killing captains and this level 15 motherfucker comes out of nowhere and he’s fireproof.
I’m playing on nemesis and just kept getting rocked by random captains for a while. Now I’m where I feel like a god around level 30
I find it very enjoyable Haven't even left Minas Ithil yet just keep hunting random captains. I've got a hunter with the tracking skill I've killed 6 times and he just keeps finding me on rooftops. Thrak the Survivor indeed
Same. On Nemesis the beginning of the game was brutal. Would be ambushed by multiple captains and ran away dozens of times. Now I get ambushed by 3 captains call in my body gaurd + Drake, dominate 2 of them gang up and beat the ever living shit out of the third. Plus the multiple 2nd chances/shadow kills/combo powers you become OP once you reach a certain point.
Fun game, controls are a little frustrating at times I'm almost at the end, have a feeling the end of game grind is real
I’ve cleared the map for the first 2 areas. Am currently struggling through an arena battle back in Minas Ithil. I have a feeling this game is about to get busted wide open. It’s been fairly linear to this part.
As much as I enjoy this game that second region you go to after the first few missions in Minas Ithil is trashhhhhh
