I like to rotate between clam chowder, beef with veggies, a nice cheddar-potato and good old chicken noodle. Sometimes I'll hit up Panera for their broccoli and cheddar. Best part about the weather getting colder. I do miss Korean soups something awful though. God-tier soup game they have over there.
Of those options, beef and veggie soup after coming in from shoveling the driveway I also love tomato rotini soup
Had lamb and butternut squash stew tonight. Also like chicken orzo with lemon and dill, chili, and taco soup.
Best part about winter is using my grandmother's cast iron skillet (probably 50 years old) and making some cornbread to go along with some vegetable soup. It is god tier
was just ranting about this in Husk City. It's corn chowder. And not for the obvious reasons, don't get all pissy devine. It's just a really good friggun soup
Huge soup guy here. Some of my non-Asian faves: Santa Fe Soup Tortilla Soup Minestrone Soupe Au Pistou Escarole white bean Sancocho Ajiaco Beef and vegetable soup (best when you have leftovers from a pot roast and then combine with a freshly made vegetable soup with beef broth)
You ever have it from L’Express on Park Ave? GOAT late night drunk food. I just ordered two bowls last time I was there.
My BIL makes a Mexican bean soup with pinto beans, bacon, jalapeños, and spices that’s pretty damn good. My boss brought me in some green chiles soup that was pretty damn good as well. I prefer my veggie soup with no meat but I’m almost a vegetarian so that may have something to do with it.
Never been there but it looks great. My favorite French onion in the city is at Balthazar. Next level stuff.
It’s pretty damned cool. When I was up there for a wedding in May, we went 3 straight nights (all after 2:00 am).
Wagammma needs to become a national chain. I bought the cookbook. But authentic ramen is the absolute best. What I had in Vancouver was mind blowing.
My wife makes a great white bean and kale soup. I make a pretty solid tomato bisque. Hits the spot with a grilled cheese.
i make these soups probably 20 times a year combined http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2015/08/pressure-cooker-corn-soup-recipe.html https://www.kcet.org/food/recipe-caldo-verde-a-portuguese-soup
