We were using a RB who would have just run up Wagner's back and gotten himself tackled if we did it last week.
There has to be some bruising Fullback on a practice squad somewhere that can rumble across a goal line.
This has nothing to do with having a FB; the scheme in the RZ is horrendous. I have no idea what we are trying to accomplish down there.
It might be by design to try to keep them short of the 25. Worked a couple times. Didn't work the others.
Golden Tate has to be in the top 2 Detroit sports franchise FA signings in my lifetime (maybe sans Red Wings signing anyone they wanted pre salary cap era). Chauncey Billups, then Tate. Unless I am clearly misremembering someone.
Maybe. Pudge had 2-3 AS level years with us. Magglio had 1 MVP level season and then a bunch of mediocrity. Those are decent comps though. I think I like the Pudge one more, although he was clearly at the end of his career. If you add in the Red Wings, the list obviously gets a bit longer as well.
Haha nice. I had season tickets back then. Well my dad did, anyway. He was awesome to watch for sure. He was pretty useful, but clearly at the end of his career.
Best Detroit FAs of of this century: 1. Chauncey Billups 2. Glover Quin 3. Brian Rafalski 4. Golden Tate 5. Dre Bly Bly probably shouldn't be on there, but I hate Pudge and Magglio cost an absurd amount of money for what he actually produced during most of his Detroit run. Overall, that's a sad list.
Brett Hull scored over 90 goals in his 3 years with the Wings after being signed. JD Martinez was a pretty good signing too and cheap. It was only a one year deal, but Hossa netted us 40 goals in that one season. But his short comings in the playoffs and leaving after one year I can see it falling down the list
