Yeah, it seemed like Skurge could “hear” the call for transport, but he wasn’t able to locate every soul in the universe like Heimdall. As for the Tesseract, Loki 100% took it from the vault at the end of the movie. And I don’t think it is outside the realm of possibility Thanos gets two Stones in one shot. They need him to gather some as quickly as possible to start the film. I mean, he has enough power to bring down a moon on the Avengers in the trailer.
I think it's very likely that we're in for a big universe-reset of some kind after Infinity War. So I'm not going to sweat too much about who lives and who dies in the next two Avengers movies.
The next Spider-Man is supposed to take place minutes after IW4 so it might be hard to do a reset with that planned
I'm thinking a reset like using the gauntlet to alter the universe. Thanos uses it to destroy half the galaxy in the comics (if memory serves) and later the guantlet is used to undo that.
A bit of spoiler from the comics that may come in to play if Thanos actually wipes out the ship: Spoiler ass guard can’t actually die. Ragnarok has happened multiple times in its history and each time, assgardians are reborn. The first time this was shown in marvel, thor’s Hammer was shattered and then reformed itself, falling to earth, and the assgardians followed shortly after.
I mean, I'm sure the combined knowledge of all the violent diarrhea the past kings have had could probably be omitted.
Saw Thor: Ragnarok Thoughts: 1. I'd say 70 percent of the jokes were funny. It was immaculate in comparison to the corny and stale crap jokes GOTG Vol. 2 to put out. In Ragnarok, there were some good stuff, the orgy part about making sure to not touch anything. 2. Loved how they recreated Thor's character. After Ultron his character was becoming, "there's Thor, with his hammer, and his blonde hair ..." — and Ragnarok completely made a joke about it. Pretty great. The eyepatch at the end was cool. 3. I'm getting a little bored with Loki continuously betraying Thor. It's annoying because it's predictable. 4. Karl Urban as Skruge — What an absolutely meaningless character. They could cut all his scenes out and no one would notice. He had no significant impact whatsoever. 5. Cate Blanchett as Hela — Cool character, even hotter actress. She has a banging body. 6. Jeff Goldbum as Grandmaster — Fucking awesome character and I hope we seem him again. 7. Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie — I thought Thompson was a shitty actress, and sucked in West World, and she may still be a shitty actress, but her character didn't bother me so much in Ragnarok. 8. Some good action sequences, and the climatic battle was pretty cool. Overall decent movie, I'd give it a 7.5/10.
If Skurge isn't there, Hela is walking around Asgard talking to herself for an hour in the middle of the movie. I don't think that would have been very fun to watch.
And Loki continuously betraying Thor would be bad if Thor didn't know he was doing it and played the role of an idiot. The movie had a very clear arc with multiple scenes that made it clear that Thor still loves his brother but will always expect him to do the wrong thing.
"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Korg. I'm kind of like the leader in here. I'm made of rocks, as you can see, but don't let that intimidate you. You don't need to be afraid, unless you're made of scissors! Just a little Rock, Paper, Scissors joke for you." ------- "Well, I tried to start a revolution, but didn't print enough pamphlets so hardly anyone turned up. Except for my mum and her boyfriend, who I hate. As punishment, I was forced to be in here and become a gladiator. Bit of a promotional disaster that one, but I' m actually organizing another revolution. I don't know if you'd be interested in something like that? Do you reckon you'd be interested?"
“hey man. i’m korg. we’re gonna get our here on that big spaceship. wanna come?” “well, it does seem you are in desperate need of leadership” “why thank you”
Korg's "the hammer pulled you off?" line is maybe the hardest I've laughed at the theaters in years. I was embarressing myself.
So we can all agree Hela is showing up in Infinity War, right? They didn’t show her dead, and I think there is about a 0% chance Disney lets an actress on the caliber of Cate Blanchett go after only one film. Thanos and Hela are going to be a thing.
It wouldn't surprise me if Thanos was looking for her and he just comes across the Asgardian ship in his pursuit. Thanos then goes and wrecks Surtur after dealing with that ship.
The other crazy thing with IW is that they still have to deal with the Civil War fallout and the Sokovia Accords still being in place. Thankfully this is a 2-part movie.
I honestly thought Thor might die at the end of Ragnarok at the hands of Thanos. The fact they let him lose an eye makes me think he survives IW. Cap is definitely dying at the end of the movie now, IMO.
This might be one of the ways they establish Thanos's pre-gauntlet strength. Like, we saw Hulk try and fight him, but if Thanos just shows up, waves his hand and obliterates him...
Yeah, the "Thanos Quest" needs to show off his physical strength and that he's smarter than everyone else too.
Cap dying at the end of IW is the event that unifies everyone together. They are fractured throughout the film, so Thanos wrecks everyone. Cap’s death is the catalyst to everyone coming together. At least that is my guess. It’s also helped by the fact Evans’ contract is done at that point and he wants to move behind the camera.
I get that idea, but it's weird how Cap dying would rally Team Cap to Team Iron Man. Why would your leader dying make you want to join up with the guy your leader was fighting?
