Reviews I've seen on social media are positive, which makes it weird to me that they didn't lift the review embargo until the day before it's released.
Most what I've read is it's got some fun spectacle and good acting/chemistry with the team but the story is still a mess. The bar is so low I'm sure they'll make a hit out of it. It's still pretty remarkable how Marvel was able to take a bunch of B listers and turn them into a 15 billion dollar franchise and WB has THE most famous heroes and they didn't just fail to stick the landing, they botched the takeoff.
That was a typo, I meant 15 billion for the MCU. The number is about 13 billion and I was trying to round up.
Currently in the theater waiting for a pre screening to start. I’ll be sure to spoil everything for you guys when it’s over
Movie was pretty solid. Way more fun than the previous dc movies. Definitely stay for the post credits btw
Great movie. Had a lot of Easter eggs for the fans. It was fun and more light but still had the darkness if that makes sense. Kinda seemed rushed at first but it settled in. Great action. Plenty we didn’t see from the trailers. The two credit scenes were awesome.
Yea it definitely felt like it could have used another 30 minutes. Mustache cgi was pretty bad too. Definitely enjoyable though
Yep they edited a lot out. Ya the mustache cgi was pretty rough. For sure was enjoyable. I think it’s right under WW. It was awesome to see all those characters on the big screen.
3D or nah? Going to see this and Thor this weekend and trying to decide on what dimension to watch them in
Someone spoil the whole movie for me. I'm really not that excited for it so idc what happens before I see it
How have you already seen it? I bought tickets for 2D IMAX for Thursday. I assumed it was going to be shit but I always see big movies.
Based upon social media reactions, I’m going to put my guess at a 72% positive on RT by the time of premiere Thursday night for Justice League.
Got free tickets to a pre screening on Monday, because I’m a nerd that follows dc on twitter and live in a big city
http://www.businessinsider.com/justice-league-review-agonizing-to-watch-2017-11 The director Zack Snyder once again gets too dark and won't give the audience a good ol' superhero popcorn movie. A lot of Wonder Woman's plot feels forced in. Ben Affleck looks to be over playing Batman. He gives a flat performance.
I, for one, am SHOCKED rickyrubio4life would find and post a review which says negative things about Affleck. Personally, the reviewers I usually agree with (Collider, Jeremy Jahns, etc) liked it, so I am excited and fairly positive I’ll enjoy the film.
I'm in the minority that liked BvS and the general theme of the DCEU, so I agree. SS was just flat out bad for me though. I enjoyed Will Smith's performance and the flashbacks of how they all were captured, but not much else.
I agree. Outside of the ridiculous “Save Martha!” plot device, I enjoyed most of BvS. Especially the extended cut. I don’t agree with how they have portrayed Superman’s personality so far, but supposedly that is course corrected in Justice League. Outside of Will Smith and Margot Robbie, Suicide Squad was a train wreck.
I have the Flixster app on my phone. I see no aggregate reviews. Want to make a bet the film finishes the weekend over 60% positive?
It's at 51 on metacritic Edit 49 No idea what a 50ish metacritic rating generally translates to on rotten tomatoes though
Pretty much just don't expect to see a good movie from any DCEU films outside of WW and you won't be disappointed.
