Sorry I missed this for book club. Started Wool about 3 weeks ago and was totally hooked, I have already finished it, FS and Dust too. Awesome choice. Read Ready Player One the week before and enjoyed it too (fun read but no Wool IMO). Hopefully the do this movie right. Going to search the forums for next read.

Not much into soccer unfortunately. I assume you’re a fellow Louisiana guy also now in Dallas. Grew up in New Orleans, then LSU, and came to Dallas after Katrina.

That's funny. I grew up in River Ridge, but left for LSU in '92.

I still have an uncle, aunt, a few cousins and their kids in River Ridge plus my godmother and her family. We probably know a lot of the same people. My dad's dad owned a big house and 3 acres of property on Orchard Rd that then got subdivided into neighborhood when he sold in the late '80's, and my mom grew up at Charlotte Dr and Garden Rd.

Also bigjrock is a RR guy

Read the first 'book' this morning. (free one from amazon...so Howey's original short story) Am I correct in thinking that first chapter of the Omnibus version is the exact same thing as what I just read? No changes or anything, so I could just start on 'chapter' two? (which is really 'book' 2)

    Fun read so far.

Lots of potential for a great TV series here

Depresses me seeing how old Tim Robbins looks now.

Did you watch Silo? I'm curious how good it was? I had it in queue for a while, but never actually got around to watching.

I thought it was pretty good. I hadn't read the books in a long time, so I didn't remember the finer details. They added some story lines to it.
