It's the increased ttk that makes it so shitty dealing with swords but swords are also about the only way to run solo in this game with success. Lower ttk gdi
Finally pulled the trigger last night. Game is gorgeous on PC. I’m terrible with WASD for movement but I imagine it just takes some getting used to. Read that reddit post about how to rebind mouse wheel up and down which allowed me to put pretty much everything on my mouse and that helped a lot. I’m off today so I’ll be grinding, hopefully I can get raid level relatively quickly.
I think you actually just have to apply to the clan. I can't really search for the different service usernames (psn/xbox/battlenet), only the bungie.net names. But you can apply on your bungie page after you link your battlenet account to it then it shows up for us to approve.
Yeah, it's absurd to mix high ttk with huge maneuverability and 1 hit kill swords. That said, still love the rest of the game enough to overlook it. We could just start a PC discord channel or something? I'd be up for raids/nightfall or anything. Currently at 275.
Ground up to 280ish this weekend, I’d be down to do raid things if we can get a group together. LFG seems to be a huge pain in the ass for PC, there has to be a better way that I am unaware of. Using the sites I normally use for Xbox doesn’t work very well at all.
apparently it's pretty cumbersome to use the friend system on PC with LFG and, obviously, harder to communicate. Discord makes it easier if everyone is using it, I guess, but not everyone uses it on LFG. I haven't used Discord for voice yet. I've gotten up to the low 290's on 3 characters without any nightfall/raid stuff yet. Addiction is a hell of a thing, but being able to Destiny anywhere I have my laptop when I have a few minutes is a crazy escalation.
Yeah I finally had to do a guided games just so I could get the nightfall done. The “guides” were in the 240s and didn’t really have a clue but it was fine just needed warm bodies who could halfway contribute. I downloaded the discord app but have no idea what I’m doing with it.
I created a channel and will paste the link below to invite everyone. From there it's persistent chat and you pop into the voice channel as needed. I'm guessing it's best to just create a TMB PC server rather than make this destiny specific. Wondering if this doesn't exist already, if it does someone find a link and I'll delete mine. Well shit. Fucking lazy already at 290 on 3 dudes and im not even on titan on 1. Guess I'm going to have to get my ass in gear.
It’s not too bad, I leveled my titan up this weekend alone and that wasn’t anywhere close to constantly playing. Got the speed leveling down after 3 305s on xbone though. Planning to start a hunter this week.
Also, if you need to level up this is the week to do it. Faction war makes it so much quicker. Of course they have already found a cheese that gets like 500 faction tokens an hour Zone into Winding Cove on EDZ Run a bit north and head down the hole into the Lost Sector Defeat the boss, get the chest Directly above the chest is a door that you can use to get back to the surface. As you’re walking up, as soon as you see the “Winding Cove” area load, turn around, head back to the chest, and you can loot it again. Back through the door, wait for “Winding Cove”, and back to the chest to loot again. Rinse and repeat this step.
I think everyone hits end game and there is just no reason to continue playing. It was plenty of fun getting to that point though.
i'm playing the trial. this game is good. i wish i had more free time. as an aspiring software person, i really respect the optimization in this game. it's dope. pvp is still kind of shit, but not as bad as in the beta. maybe my weapons just suck.
fwiw, it's a bit funny that they advertise that pvp is level-neutral and meanwhile i'm losing virtually every 1v1 because i'm using starter guns
let's not act like Destiny 2 is a one star game, though. You can easily get 50 hours of pretty incredible gun/gameplay out of it before hitting the wall. Those of us who are bitter at the game are likely hundreds of hours into it (after maybe thousands in Destiny 1). For the person playing it for the first time, it's a more than worthy game to pick up, IMO. Just be aware that at the super end game, it runs frustratingly dry. Also, because we're all such bitter bitches about it, it'll probably be hard to find people for raid groups.
This is all true as well. My point to him was to express that I once felt like that about Destiny and that's no longer the case. All the wasted potential is disappointing
