Seems like the robbery, and subsequent murder, at Barcelona on Howell Mill early Sunday morning hasn’t gotten much publicity. Or maybe I just live under a rock.
I hadn't heard about it until now. They executed that poor girl for no reason. Just a horrible, senseless fucking crime
Cover up for some nefarious activity? That’s a lot to be spent on a place only open rarely in that location.
Any Atlanta fam know a good bar to watch the Iron Bowl (preferably an Auburn bar)? Having the rents visit from out of town and looking for a good place to watch the game. TIA #WDE
I don’t root for Auburn but I know Bucket Shoppe in Buckhead and Diesel in Highlands are Auburn bars.
I post about this a lot, but secretflying.com still bringing in good deals. $368 to anywhere in Spain RT from ATL. Worth playing around with if anyone has the availability, but I'm not sure if the deal is still available. This was a non-stop flight on Delta, fwiw.
Diesel in the highlands. If someone tells you to go to Buckhead for that shit Chillis-esq style bar, fight them
Have you actually been there? I've never been to Bucket Shop, except for the time me and a friend went to watch a UCF game(at a new place!), and as I walked in and saw all the Barners we walked right back out knowing our game would not be played.
Not for a game in a long time, but yeah used to go there a decent bit when I lived in Peachtree hill and before Diesel opened. I think the food is mediocre. I went recently before a Rehearsal dinner when I was waiting in my wife. Seemed like a crowd of people I hate
Bucket Shop is good for a game IMO. I'm not going for the food. Filled with Auburn people and TVs everywhere. Service has always been fine considering how many people they pack the place with, and a nice outdoor spot if the weather is nice. I probably need to give Diesel another shot at some point.
Appreciate the suggestions. I've never been to Diesel. Been to Bucket Shop quite a few times tho. It's a decent spot to watch the game and be with fellow barners, but the food sucks imo.
I’m thinking it is. Even if not legitimately nefarious, I still would think it’s a front for something else. The painting in the back makes me think it could be a rave club or something.
Everyone in here knows rathbun steak is my favorite restaurant in the city. They're getting a big head. To be sure, they're absolutely one of the best in the US, but I don't see bones or chops peddling for votes whenever magazines are making top steakhouse lists. Give the bourbon and cigar lover in your life the ultimate Christmas gift with a dinner at Rathbun's on December 18th with legendary bourbon producer Dave Pickerell and chef Kevin Rathbun. Dave Pickerell is the former master distiller for Maker's Mark and now has his own Whistlepig distillery producing some of America's finest whiskey's. The dinner will feature a five course dinner with whiskey and rye cocktail pairings for $231.00. What: Whistlepig dinner When: Monday, Dec 18th Where: Rathbun's Restaurant Time: 6:30 Cost: $231.00 per person

The site has long been seen as a contender among the city’s potential homes for Amazon’s new North American headquarters. The Development of Regional Impact filing submitted Wednesday by Los Angeles-based CIM Group suggests the development would include 1,000 apartments, 1,500 hotel rooms, 1 million square feet of retail space and 9.35 million square feet of office space. A then-unnamed group made a similar filing with the city of Atlanta last month. “The property proposes a development over structured parking to create a robust transit-oriented development adjacent to two MARTA stations,” the filing said. The state of Georgia delivered its bid for Amazon’s North American headquarters project, dubbed HQ2, last month. The a 50,000 jobs bonanza that could total more than $5 billion in new investment. Amazon has said it requires up to 8 million square feet of office space on property with direct transit connections that also is within 45 minutes of an airport. The Gulch property would fulfill all those requirements. RELATED Mayor: Winning Amazon's HQ2 is the metro's next 'Olympic moment' Filing hints at huge downtown development near Philips Arena
just signed a lease in old fourth ward, looking forward to blacking out and getting robbed on my way home. It was a good 18 year 3 month run in the greatest of all time Georgia counties that is Cobb.
So tomorrow there are standing room only tickets for the Falcons game going on sale at 10:00 a.m. at Gate 2 of MBS for $60 a ticket. I was thinking about going down there in the morning and trying to get some. Anyone ever done this?
Random thought: Getting the fuck out of Montgomery and moving to Atlanta 2.5 years ago was the best decision I've ever made. I love this city.
Safe to assume X ambassadors are going first? I could give a shit about them and am only going for PTM.
Yeah would love to go, but I'm already throwing down too much money due to SECCG tomorrow. Laying low tonight.
Making the switch from Nashville. Grew up here but first time living in the city other than weekend visits, looking forward to it just hoping the opposite commute downtown to cobb wont be too bad
I've seen PTM live twice and they haven't lived up to expectations. I almost went to Cut Copy tonight, but would have been cutting it close getting back into town on time.
