men's hoops up 5 with 22 seconds left in OT @ Vandy on SEC Network Vandy's court is top 5 in my favorite venues to watch on TV Cornelius Suttree
Maybe so but they will be back to the gutty little bruins days since his staff will be washed and won’t have Oregon swag to use in recruiting. The racist tag he got in the NFL might be problematic.
Different and more complexity at UCLA. If his staff is a bunch of Oregon guys, I’d be concerned if I’m a UCLA fan. I don’t think this is a lock by any means. Still a great hire by UCLA.
I was ready to wear jorts if Chip went to UF. Now that he is at UCLA, I’m a little conflicted. It’s like if my wife left me for a much more attractive man.
As for Chip: you have to give UCLA props for swinging for the fences. I’m still doubtful he’ll have Oregon-level success though. Since we have no choice but to look at potential positives I’ll name two. 1) huge expectations. the spotlight and pressure is on them not us to win fairly soon. Of course there’ll be an immediate impact, same as there was w Mora, but if you recall after the first three years 10 wins suddenly became the minimum expectation. And obviously any coach with a show cause on his rap sheet is gonna stay on enforcement’s radar... 2) his last few years have been less than stellar. Was it just an outlier or have so many ppl adapted that his playbook is no longer revolutionary? Who knows. Maybe Barkley—who spent time w him in the film room—can join the staff and help break down shit for Clancy..
Using what he did in the NFL is dumb. Not saying he is but look at coaches who had success in CFB went to the NFL to bomb and returned to CFB and had success. The CFB and the NFL are different animals. This is a home run hire and you’re lying if you see it as anything other than that.
It is a homerun hire. However, I’m just pointing out that this is a slightly different rodeo than what he stepped into at Oregon more than a decade ago. His whole claim to fame is his offense; not as a guy who had multiple stops as a HC building programs from the ground up. In fact, he failed miserably at having to do that in Philly and SF. His players and the execs flat out didn’t like him, if you believe what was reported then. I think for these reasons it’s absolutely fair to question if he can replicate 07-12 without the NikeU machine and a landscape where his schemes have become incorporated into virtually every playbook—including ours. And again, he’ll have to do that with huge expectations and an NCAA magnifying glass watching him fairly closely...
Such a good one. Sorry to be honest, not really trying to be an asshole but whatever. Did I act like a bitch when you came to nd’s thread talking about how we should be more like Stanford?
Drunk, a little Was not trolling at all. I think you guys will win this easily. Like I said, Nd lost bc wimbush can’t find the WRs. You guys are fast, Stanford won’t match.
Yeah, but spreading them out and use the space available would be a start. Darnold’s Motion is so slow, but you guys should cruise. Kelly can never beat a good coach and Shaw is good, if Helton loses this game he is shit.
as frustrating as the season was at times, and as much as we could still do better at coach, it's always nice to win the conference #Southern California Trojans
We are the champions, my friend. I had serious doubts late in that game but Uchenna's goal line stop and then Sam's scramble and chuck it play were things of beauty. And I got a nice chuckle out of the domer who said Sam was a taller version of Clausen.
Yeah, it was probably a bad call on my part... But he has a long ass motion. He will obviously be better, that’s why I said sc was winning this game. If you can put the ball in space against Stanford you are winning.
just stumbled on the Mater Dei game, hoping this JT Daniels kid is Barkley minus the smugness and Jesus freak characteristics
So assistant coaches jumping ship either means this is Clay's last year or Nikias doesn't give a fuck about athletics. Guess which one seems more likely.
