Legit recruiting targets left for 2018 IMO (feel free to add any I missed) RB -Stevie Scott -Jermar Jefferson (OV set for Jan) -Iverson Clement (deciding if we want to pursue based on the RT) WR/TE -Jalen Jordan (OV, possible silent commit) -Daeveon Robinson (OV, possible flip) -Matt Alaimo (maybe setting up an OV but still long shot IMO) DL -Kaymar Mimes (OV, need to close him out) -PJ Johnson (JUCO) -Khris Banks -Jason Mercier I like that Ash is possibly slow playing or processing kids he shouldn't have taken to begin with. We are really in it with a lot of solid players down the stretch.
good list skoolie, i really want 2 out of the 3 wr/te. we need size and height there and those targets are legit players. Dline we have to get mimes and banks, maybe the juco. this is a pretty good close to the class and def ended on an uptick if we finish the way we think we will
I'm terrified of processing kids from big NJ programs. If they were going to do that, they should have started by telling Najjee Jones to fuck off. I doubt they could process Barnwell for instance.
Psu promotes galiano to ST coordinator/assistant DL/ on the road recruiting role? Good luck with that.
Isn't that Flood's recruiting coordinator who he promoted to ST coach at the last second because he couldn't find anybody that wanted to work for him?
id certainly be disappointed if we hired him back. just happy you're not filling the spot with somebody that matters.
So I’m curious if Ohio State besting Wisco just took a B1G team out of the playoff. Now with no undefeated teams left things get interesting. Clemson and Oklahoma (both 12-1) took care of buisness and won their conference so they are in (and rightfully so). Georgia (12-1) should have earned their spot with winning the SEC. So now you have a 2 loss USC who won the PAC12 who can make a case as well as a 2 loss tOSU who won the Big10 and a 1 loss Alabama who didn’t even play in their conference game but will certainly be screaming they deserve it too My guess is 1 Clemson 2 Oklahoma 3 Georgia 4 tOSU
After carefully reviewing the playoff scenarios, I have come to the conclusion that the B1G needs to re-align the divisions and go back to an 8 game conference schedule.
I haven't watched all Big Ten bball teams play yet, but I find it hard to believe that we're going to be the worst this year. The building blocks are in place. Yes, I know it's still early.
Where? Is there some dumb draft site that says that? That's insane, and I'm higher on him than most, wish he stayed.
No I just meant our fans. A team would need brain damage to draft this kid. By the end of the year, when I thought of applefield, a good deal of anger came to mind rather than hope. The right side of the line was garbage and it wasn't just seymour's fault. We either have to replace both of them with frosh who actually have a chance in pass protection or move Seymour to guard and pray it helps.
With the players that didn't redshirt now gone, let's take a look back at Flood's 2014 class 2* LB Eric Margolis- special teamer that wasn't even good at special teams 2* LB Sam Blue- quickly transferred to Georgetown or some shit, as everyone predicted 2* DB Darian Dailey- arrested and kicked off team 2* LS Alan Lucy- a scholarship long snapper that lost his job to a freshman walk on 2* QB Gio Rescigno- late addition after Wiegers de-commit, not a B1G QB but he's tough and won 3 B1G games this year 2* DB Isaiah Wharton- decent 4 year starter but lack of speed 3* DT Eric Wiafe- hasn't done anything 3* OL Marcus Applefield- depth OL 3* DB Andre Boggs- arrested and kicked off the team 3* DT Kevin Wilkins- solid player, good pickup 2* OL Tariq Cole- future NFL draft pick, developed under Blazek 2* DE Jimmy Hogan- rotation guy with minimal impact 3* FB Jacob Kraut- transferred 3* DE Donald Bedell- transferred 3* LB Brandon Russell- irrelevant special teamer/depth LB 3* TE Logan Lister- transferred 3* RB Robert Martin- productive college RB, will probably bounce around some NFL practice squads 2* TE George Behr- I don't think he ever even practiced 3* DB Kam Lott- transferred 3* OL Jacquis Webb- transferred 2* OL Zack Heeman- depth OL 3* DB Saquan Hampton- multi year starter but feels like we'll never see how good he can be since he's always hurt 3* LB Sidney Gopre- never made it to campus 3* LB Justin Nelson- never made it to campus 3* RB Josh Hicks- productive RB but had a reduced role each year 0* OL Cal Ibanez- quit football after like a week of summer workouts That is incredible
Saw this too. Is there actually a league where - for an entire month - cjg was not only the best player on his team, but in the entire league? Is this real life?
Just saw Joe Giles-Harris was named first team AA by PFF. Dude has been dominant in his time at Duke, really could’ve used him at RU. That’s the type of kid Schiano never would lose, and is a shame he’s playing out of state. I don’t see Ash losing many 2nd tier types moving forward either, but it stings to see him ball out at Duke when we’re having such massive problems at LB
So Tennessee ended up signing a DC with zero head coaching experience over a DC with 10 years HC experience, coach of the year award and NFL HC experience. Seems right. I hope schiano takes them to the bank for making him radioactive this coaching cycle
Oh my god I can't wait to listen to this. I remember being in the goat Don Derr's Land Econ class and everybody was watching the game on their laptops. He notices people are distracted, walks up to a kid and says "Hey, what are you watching? PORN?" . Then he realized what was happening and put the end of the game on the projector. Wild.
