Just got to get some black coaches on defense Otis? Jeff Traylor Otis Kirk (85222) 130 months 42 minutes agoVIP Reply Quote yeah a source at SMU told me he expects him at Arkansas. He said he will talk to him today for me though and see what he can find out. Does mean then some of the defensive coaches have to be black though since that is an all-white offensive staff if Traylor is hired. Seems like Morris is set on his crew from Smu. Yeah I don't have an issue with his hires though. Just got to get some black coaches on defense. The DL coach at SMU has a vast amount of SEC experience.
Possibly heading to Knoxville. Believe his son graduates this spring so he'll either be drafted or go to Vanderbilt. He was in hs outside Athens and Rocker didn't want to move him again.
We handed out 9 termination letters out of a possible 10. Luney is the only one who didn't get one. Entire Strength and Conditioning team was released.
Yep, the question is going to be what role has he been offered? Some are saying it might be a non-position coaching role.
Yeah I thought he might stay on to help with instate stuff and possibly earn his way back into an actual coaching job later.
Del Conte already got TCU set for life as all three coaches (Patterson, Dixon, and Schlossnagle) are not going anywhere anytime soon. So they just needed somebody to step right in and continue the fundraising for stadium renovations.
We hired Jeff Traylor, which is a big time addition to the staff. Will likely be RB coach and Co-OC. Very good recruiter in East Texas. He's widely respected as a former HS coach in that area.
He was rumored to be in the mix at Mizzou for OC right? Really glad to pick him up. He was at CMs press conference so they are obviously close.
Well everyone told us how dumb it was to let Jeff go so I am shocked he still hasn’t been hired. I know he interviewed at TCU so I figured they would take advantage of Arkansas’ mistake.
Glad to hear he's got recruiting connections in Texas. I think we lost some of those over the last few years.
I mean it's still really early to claim it wasn't a dumb decision Yurachek hasn't even done anything yet as AD
Agreed it is too early to tell, but my question was if we were dumb to fire him, how dumb was TCU to pass on an experienced AD and go with someone who has relatively little experience outside of his fundraising efforts.
I don't know. I haven't ever worked at TCU and don't know their landscape. And even if I said it wasn't dumb for them to not hire him, it wouldn't change that I think it was dumb to fire Jeff Long to hire Yurachek.
tcu was never going to hire the chairman of the playoff committee that kept them out of the playoffs.
I agree with all of this. I liked Chad and he came out and won the fanbase pretty quickly. Glad to see him land this job. My only complaints were him out-thinking himself some times and many Clemson fans feeling like he would always float his name to other positions at every possible chance he got. It was a bit frustrating though I guess understandable since he wanted to be a HC. Either way, still love the man and what he did for our offense. I think he will do pretty well at Arkansas and, at a minimum, should make the offense a lot more enjoyable to watch.
Hope this isn't true Gerry Bohanon Baylor ajones2348 (3) 13 months 102 minutes agoVIPvia Mobile Reply Quote Have a friend with some sources at Baylor, said he is committing to Baylor December 20th. Friend is usually spot on with his stuff too. Hopefully he is wrong this time but not looking great for our pursuit of Bohanon
Baylor is confident and so are we. Think Bohanon may be taking an unofficial to Ark this weekend. He already took his OV here This was after Morris sat down with him for the first time
Sucks, but he's already missed 1/3 of the season and there's still some uncertainty, so it's the right call. MA did say he was optimistic he'd play next year, so I guess that's good. Wish we could get more details on the extent of his heart issues
Verizon is an awesome place to watch a game as long as you don’t want to eat, drink or use the bathroom
It's pathetic that any time we play there that there is zero TV or streaming options. How the fuck do you have an arena like that and have zero broadcasting capabilities? Just sad
Wait wut? How is that possible? I just thought nobody picked it up. I guess I could have periscoped 65% of the game, the rest I spent standing in line to buy my son a water
There is no broadcasting capabilities in that piece of shit arena. Every SEC game is supposed to be televised or streamed, but that arena doesn't currently have those capabilities for some reason. It's embarrassing

He is already on board, you got to let the other guy win til he gets here then smash him in the games hahahaha. Michael should know it's called taking one for the team.
Idk if that small town qb is going to be worth a damn or not, but losing him to mf Baylor is disgsting
No, not til ~Dec 29th. Doesn't really matter at this point since we are in a recruiting dead period until Jan 12th.
Yeah it sucks, but Noland isn't terrible and we've got much bigger holes on our roster than QB. There's at least talent to work with there. Losing Luke Jones would be much worse.
Sounds like we are losing him and the safety I don't buy that the early signing period is the reason why. Jimbo is killing it at atm
We'll see on Jones. I think we might hang on to him but will lose Flanagan. If we lose Flanagan hopefully we replace him with Mason. Flanagan has a lot of talent... but as I've always said on here I worry about in state kids from 2A and 3A schools making the transition to SEC ball. It just never works out and those 4 stars at 2A and 3A schools in Arkansas end up never doing shit.
