Damnit I bought some LTC on coinbse to transfer to bittrex and buy more ripple. Completely forgetting that I don’t think there is anything on bittrex you can buy with LTc.
Everything is on Coinbase right now (btc and ltc) other than some stuff I had forgot about on bittrex. So what’s the best way if I want to get more XRP for example. The BTC transfer fee on Coinbase sucks.
I'm not going to be day trading so I just want to be able to get in on some smaller coins as fast as possible for holds (at least short term holds) with as few transfers as possible.
Depends in the coin. One may have one but the other won't. I started out with only bittrex.com, but now have like 4 or 5 different ones if I see a alt I like.
What coins are tou you looking at? If you go to coinmarketcap.com it will let you know which exchanges have the coin and what coin they are paired with.
If you aren't day trading, just move the coins out to a wallet for safety concerns, It will cost you a fee so make sure you are gonna actually hold them and not panic sale
Ripple for sure, I already have some on bittrex. I'm going to get more serious about getting into some other ones. And I won't be day trading but I want to be able to take action quickly when there's a coin I want.
Gotcha, yeah I keep some ltc/ETH in exchanges for a purchase but have moved most of my alts into their respective wallets especially the Pos coins.
First purchase of crypto on coinbase. Bought a little of everything, majority in BTC and lesser in ETH and LTC. Thanks to the people explaining shit the last 30 pages. I likely still don't know what I'm doing but I'm tall enough to ride so fuck it. Spoiler ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ DOUG JONES TOOK MY ENERGY & SANITY ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ
Hmmm what is this crypterium I stumbled upon? There are so many things going on in this market. It’s wild.
So i now have a decent bit of Bitcoin, LTC, ETH,REQ, and XRP. Is there one wallet that will hold all of this or do i need a couple of different wallets?
Someone asked what takes off next, imo FCT is worth giving a very strong look. https://www.cnbc.com/2017/12/13/ove...t-announces-for-profit-property-registry.html Sounds like this could be using factom... overstock/medici owns like 3% of factom and CEO is on their board of directors. On Medici ventures website, they literally say " We actively support our portfolio companies and take an active business role when necessary." This is exactly what they do...and seems like they could have some big news here shortly.
this thought process is how people end up going bust. Be happy with the gains you have and stop worrying about the gains you missed out on
This is what I'm rocking with right now. I didn't intend for EOS and XRP to be the biggest parts of my portfolio but they've grown so crazy that they are now the biggest chunks I have.
No I completely agree, it's just that I started out only throwing 20-30 at random coins when I could have easily afforded 100. There is no guarantee that any of these go up so you definitely don't want to put out money you can't afford to lose.
OK for wallets if it is a ec20 or coin based on the etherum block chain then myetherwallet wil store it. If not go to the coins website/reddit and find the wallet they recommend. I use neo, ark, XBY, personal wallets, use myetherwallet for qash, req, ETH,
These last few days are fun, every morning waking up to a few more grand. I know it won't last but man
I gotta remember this. I only put a little bit in, what I'm comfortable losing... and lately thinking "oh shit I should've put a lot more in". Nah I'm good. I will continue with my original plan.
this. I put money in that I usually risk at the casino. Yea, I wish I put more into XRP and LTC before they 3x'd, but I'm just happy I got in at all.
So did the futures launch create the unintended consequence of giving a price projection for 3 months of BTC that is modest but shows growth, thus stabilizing the price and allowing alts to pump like crazy while people chase larger gains? Or are we just in the middle of an alt-week where alts pump? BTC dominance down from highs in the mid-60s to the low 50's today while the overall market has grown pretty significantly in the last week. Since futures launch BTC price has stayed between around $17,600 and $16,100, which hilariously enough feels relatively stable in crypto.
Could be, this also has been the trend for the last year. After bitcoin goes through a run up people try to exit to capture their gains and instead of moving it back into fiat they move it into altcoins and cause a bit of a run up. Then usually a week or two after we see two weeks of terrible performance all around before we see gradual gains from everything until the next run up. I'm just curious if we're going to skip the fall back that we normally see just because of the massive amount of new money coming into the market.
Very happy with what I’m seeing from REQ and XRP. I like what I’ve read about NEO and OMG. Anyone in those?
I think the market should get another bump from Christmas in a few weeks like we saw from Thanksgiving where new people get introduced to it by family at holidays. That may be our next big run.
tried to get the GF into XRP 2 nights ago but her ETH hadn't cleared on coinbase yet. Should I wait to see if it dips like LTC and BTC did, or jump on now while its still under $1?
always wait for a pullback. if it doesn't happen, there's always other coins. you make money playing defensively, not offensively
yea, but want her to be able to get in cheap on a coin likely to end up on coinbase. that's the real money to be made.
