For some reason I can't bring myself to pull the trigger on alt coins. I'm up 350% with the coin base coins. The transferring to another site and then storing on a hardware wallet makes me pause. I tried plugging in a 6-month projected value of my portfolio last night I've put in 873 conservative estimate is 5865 aggressive estimate is about 9000 Either of these sound realistic? All I did was take the past 6 months performance and figure if during the next 6 month's those coins do 25% of that (conservative) or 50% of that (aggressive) or it could all tank and my 873 could be worth a subway sandwich.

FWIW, my friend who works at a hedge fund and was in on ethereum when it was under a dollar told me to buy FCT back in June. I’m pretty sure the guy has made millions on cryptos. Wish I had bought it back then.

Up until now, Factom has spent all their time and energy marketing to banks, insurance companies, mortgage companies, etc. This is the reason for their low market cap, low volume, and general lack of awareness about them. That will be changing in 2018, where they'll be marketing more towards the crypto market.

Medici Ventures, the blockchain-focused subsidiary of retail technology company Overstock.com, announces its participation in the Series A funding for Factom, Inc., a blockchain-as-a-service technology company based in Austin, TX focusing on mortgage compliance solutions. Medici Ventures received 2.5% of Factom’s common stock in return for a $750,000 investment. Steven Hopkins, Medici Ventures’ chief operating officer and general counsel, will join Factom’s board of directors. Medici Ventures joins the Factom Series A round of funding, which was led by noted venture capitalist and blockchain enthusiast Tim Draper.
