I have a couple pair of Clark desert boots, they last forever and are pretty inexpensive. Not cunty enough for this thread, just a suggestion though.
i have these (i believe one other person itt does as well) and they’re great. very loud and super comfortable
i don’t believe so it’s a 2010 but I was still driving a 96 corolla before so it may as well be a bentley to me
Thinking about getting indoor cameras for the house. Anyone have any recommendations? The two obvious choices are Nest and Netgear Arlo Q. I don't really need any alarms or anything like that, mostly just looking for a camera that records and has wifi access so that I can log into them.
I had been going back and forth for a long time on if I should go cheap, or more of a known brand - ended up going with a nest. Yi are a 'cheaper' model but seem to have solid reviews at a much much much lower price. Amazon has their own cameras now also, but the reviews are kind of shit.
bought this in Poland after I lost my jacket while drunk. then just bought another one on Amazon cause I lost that jacket while drunk this past weekend
Have the nest, love them. You really need the nest cam package including recording though which is expensive.
Arlo's were on sale just before Christmas so I got the 3 camera setup. Thing I like best is that it's wireless. I haven't been able to set them up outside yet because it's too damn cold.
If all you want is a camera that will record and allow remote viewing then you could go pretty cheap. I got a Vimtag camera for like $70 that gets the job done on that regard. Local storage to an sd card or connect a hard drive.
I've had Arlo since June and love it. Works great for what you described and the Geofencing function automatically arms/disarms when you get within a certain radius of the house. Pro-tip: you can save a good bit by getting only 1 (or 2 depending on the size of your house) Pro cameras and going with the regular ones for the rest. It picks up sound so well that we can hear our pet sitter's footsteps all through the house from the one Pro camera we have set up in the living room.
I ended up going with Arlo, will be here tomorrow. I just got one for right now, I just want to see downstairs. Think with my set up I can get pretty full coverage of downstairs with just one. I'll probably add on from there.
For the one I lost in the uber in Prague. I didn’t order it so I had no clue how to reach him. The pizza place said it was not there and guessing someone got them a warm jacket for this cold front just in time.
First baby and just had the nanny start. Bit of a control freak so I don't like the fact that I have a somewhat stranger watching my baby in my house with no control. I'm sure I could make an argument for liability stuff but the truth is I just want to be able to check in from time to time and see that everything is ok.
I bet people are gonna start doing stuff like checking to see if their houseguests went through the cabinets or anything. I bet Larry David wishes these things were out back when he was writing Seinfeld
For several seconds I wondered why the hell someone would take a shower in a jacket. It’s been a long day.
I haven’t put in a system at my new house yet, but I setup Arlo at my old house after a number of incidents of car break-ins in my old neighborhood. I never had any safety issues, but I twice was able to determine that my dogs had gotten out of the backyard thanks to it, and it was useful when we had a house or petsitter for peace of mind. Would be good as a nanny cam, especially the Pros which I believe do sound as well.
He is writing Curb though- could be the last season I can't remember. Regardless, this would have made a great Curb storyline especially with Leon living with Larry.
Damn Tobias , I didn't know you were a wild man, look at that spoiler! Would you say you're more of a Paul Walker or Lucas Black when you're behind the wheel?
So CK is the new concensus underwear king? I gotta replace all the ex-officio I got over the last 3-5 years.
i want wireless headphones for my tv also is there a way to have things in separate rooms able to transmit to one set of headphones tia
A lot of folks rave about them. Mack Weldon and a few others too. For what it’s worth, the TJ Max in my town carries them in random sizes (mostly xs and medium). Make sure they aren’t the cotton ones though. CK makes both, but the modal/microfiber are the ones you want. I’m still wearing my meundies around the House because there are soft, but for the gym I’ve got a few decades worth of exo’s (from before they redesigned them with newer thinner fabric that i don’t like) to burn through. People seem to like the adidas boxer briefs for sports and training.
i enjoy my SAXX. Have to get the longer models though, otherwise they ride up like crazy on these thunder thighs
After 2 years with the Casper, we're upgrading to a King (Damn dog takes up too much space) and moving the Casper to the guest room. What's the consensus on mattresses these days? Anyone tried the Purple or Helix mattresses?
Really like it so far. The owners manual states what the recommended water:grounds ratio set by the SCAA is and I've been following that. My previous coffee maker was the OXO Barista Brain 9 Cup and prefer the Cuisinart.
