I think this is a big month for assassins creed. There will be a title update as well as the first DLC.
Gave up on the entire series after Unity but after watching this video and seeing the reviews in here, I think I'm back in.
I think we all agree Unity was bad and it’s negativity rolled over onto Syndicate (which I thought was pretty good). Now is as good of a time as ever to jump back into the series.
Unity is one of the only games I never finished, didn't buy Syndicate. Is there still the Animus and the dual story lines that don't make sense in this one?
It’s toned down considerably. To be honest, I don’t even remember the modern day storyline in Syndicate. As for Origins there are only 3 major times you get out of the animus for story purposes; however, you can immediately hop back in after 2-3 minutes
Hidden Ones DLC out Tues. Lvl cap to 45 and 2 new levels on gear. https://www.destructoid.com/assassi...-dlc-set-for-a-january-23-launch-482782.phtml
Apparently there is an update coming that will allow you to take 75 non violent tours of Egypt, some of which last 25 minutes
New game+ is where you get to start off the game with most all your weapons and gear, except the one like the hidden blade which you find along the way. And the enemies are scaled I think.
I am curious as I havent gotten around to playing it yet but are the DLC's they added worth the play through? Do they add anything story wise thats really interesting? I couldnt put this game down but once I finished it I havent really gone back, wondering if the DLC is worth it
Played the first dlc. Enjoyed it but it was really more of the same. Never got around to the 2nd one though
anyone else a bit disappointed by this? I really liked Origins and thought another game utilizing Bayek would have been a good thing. I am also not really understanding how origins was how the Assassin Order was started, yet this game will be 400 years before those events? maybe I am missing some information but just not anywhere near as excited as I was for Origins
AC Lore has already established that there were Assassin's before the before the brotherhood started. Origins was just the beginning of the brotherhood as an organized entity
I haven't followed this development as closely as some of the others, but is Odyssey made by a different Ubisoft studio than Origins?
I just got into this series recently. Got on eBay and got the ezio trilogy, syndicate, unity, and black flag. Rouge is on sale right now on PSN so I got it. I went through syndicate pretty quickly and have like 96% complete but can’t find the last few chests :/ So I started on the ezio trilogy. It’s pretty good so far.
ezio trilogy is the peak of the series with black flag being close behind. Syndicate behind that. Skip AC3 it was awful and I haven't played unity but heard it wasn't great.
I like that it has historical figures throughout it. I hate that he just randomly jumps off shit that I didn't want him to do.
They confirmed no AC game in 2019 Sounds good if they’re genuinely dedicated to quality over quantity
I finished ACII. Really enjoyed it. I didn’t get 100% tho :/ Started Brotherhood. Seems like it picks right up after II.
