Absolutely massive win today. Sucks that the Packers won though, because now we have to face Aaron Rodgers in a must-win situation for them.
There is no doubt what Jerry Richardson stands accused of is bad and if true, not acceptable (and weird), and I have at least one personal example of him maybe not being worth the admiration he gets from many for being the owner of their favorite team, but he brought my favorite team into existence and so he is directly responsible for some of the greatest sporting memories I have. On this day its hard to square that this is how it all ends for him. Cam was incredible today. CMC needs to touch the ball 25 times a game. Bradberry is on the verge of being JNo 2.0 and Worley has made great strides this season, turning a weakness into a strength. I still don't think this team can win a road playoff game but if Atlanta beats New Orleans next weekend and we beat TB and Atlanta to end the season, we win the South and from there, who knows, but if we get a home game and guarantee we do not have to play New Orleans on the road anything can happen.
Cam has definitely turned it on towards the end of the season. Hopefully we can win out and let whatever happens with New Orleans happen. The nfc has a lot of good teams this year so the playoffs will be interesting.
I agree the time is right for Richardson to step away from owning the team. The unceremonious nature is sort of rough and I do have faith it’ll give extra motivation for guys like Cam who love him. I also haven’t read anything that suggested JRich was malicious and really on the same level as some of the recent high profile sexual allegations. He really just seems like a dude stuck in another time.
Couple good Observer pieces: Jerry Richardson’s final act as Panthers owner should honor what he owes Carolinas http://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/scott-fowler/article190274704.html Will city’s ‘hard tether’ keep Panthers in Charlotte? http://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article190274159.html
Seeing Jameis fall to pieces and act like a child was the highlight of the game for me. Oh, and that Byrd TD Return. Something about Gamecock players, former and current, getting returns for TDs at BoA
Dude had actual tears on the sideline before he charged back onto the field for whatever reason. What a pussy
Didn’t look great last week either. This week was just beyond bad. What the fuck is going on with him. We’re going to get embarrassed next weekend.
I’d imagine Marty Hunrey’s plan is to bring back Jordan Gross on a 3 year, 60 million dollar contract.
Well CAP is a ridiculous drop off from Stewart, so I really hope he is at least close to full strength next week. Not having Stew is pretty big for the O, obviously. But CAP straight up isn't a particularly good professional rb. But Cam just can't complete shit of late and Olsen just wasn't himself. Ol is at best average and that doesn't really make an offense that is capable of beating a team playing at home for a playoff spot.
Praise yahweh! But I swear to god if Rivera goes out and hires Norv Turner I’ll lose my shit. He’d kill what’s left of Cam’s career.
Not that I’ve seen It’s embarassing our solution to utilizing talent on the roster is to hire Norv “I can’t win with Philip Rivers, Ladanian Tomlinson, and Antonio Gates” Turner.
I have about the same faith in Hurney to run a competent draft as I do Michael Jordan. Panthers are gonna waste the rest of the Cam/Luke era which just really sucks.
How long must it take to type a message in that "font"? It's like he's cutting letters out of magazines for a ransom note
I’m meh on the Smith trade. Feels like he will do the Ginn role of catching a deep TD every other game and dropping most passes in between. Worley wasn’t a big loss so whatever.
