anyone used this to buy and advance ticket? think i might "go see 'The Greatest Showman'" in the next couple days and get my ticket to Black Panther
I went to see Incidious: The Last Key on Friday. Might be the worst movie I have ever watched. I was glad I didn't spend any money on it but fuck that was a brutally bad movie to watch.
Yes. The AMC I go to allow up to two days in advance at the kiosk. Just choose a movie you probably won't watch and buy your ticket to BP.
Got my MP card last week, saw Jumanji today. The fact that the local theater I go to with reserved seats costs $11.50 a ticket and MP is only $9.99, I've already saved money.
I wasn't sure going in, ended up being pretty funny. It was clearly built for a younger audience, there are some pretty stereotypical millennial sequences. Overall I thought it was worth it for the laughs it gave. I don't think they needed to remake it as Jumanji, could have used a different name without the prior movie references.
I agree that Jumanji was better than I expected but I expected absolutely nothing. Another movie I saw yesterday that I didn't expect much from was Den of Thieves. It's not winning any awards but it was surprisingly good.
I played poker in DC for ~30 hours straight and needed a nap before driving, too cold in my Jeep, so I went and slept through The Commuter. Must’ve sucked bc no one complained about me snoring. MoviePass can also be used as a short stay motel.
The closest theater to me hardly ever gets the good, but not popular movies - but they always do all the Oscar movies so starting tonight I’m going to be getting my monies worth on the card for the next week or so Jumanji (because why not) Greatest Showman Get Out Hostiles 3 Billboards Shape of Water
Between my kids and my parents we've now used ours 5 times since I made the post about getting planet fitness'd, so things are looking up.
For those who have ordered it and waited forever for the card to arrive, did you get charged for the time the card was in transit or no?
I'm pretty sure my card arrived within a week. I ordered it a few days after Christmas and I had it the first week of January.
Yeah, they charge you for the first month when you sign up. The next month's payment will be 1 month from when you activate the card.
You get charged at first, I think. But your first month doesn't start until you activate the card so you get charged for the second month 1 month after activation
It's nasty and raining so I planned to see two movies today. 10 AM showing costs around $8 dollars and then a regular matinee is around $12. Checked in and bought both tickets at the same time and ended up only having to pay $3+ difference.
I just signed up and wanted to gift a subscription to the gf as part of a valentines day gift. The site seems to make it fucking impossible to give as a gift. From doing some research, it looks like they had a gifting option over Christmas but took it down. Why!?
Yes, wanted to gift one to my wife for Xmas and it wasn't easy so ended up not doing that and I go to the movies alone hth Costco may sell memberships that you can redeem online, I remember seeing that at one time.
I just texted her and told her to sign up herself and I'll get her something else. Dumb business decision on their part, seems like that script is something an intern could code in a day.
IMO, can't go wrong with either, although, I've seen more negativity about Three Billboards. Both were very good to me.
i really didn’t like hostiles maybe bc i went to a 10:30 showing but i fell asleep about halfway through (old ha ha) just thought it dragged and the dialogue wasn’t remotely interesting i am surely in the minority here
Going to a nice 11am showing of three billboards I’ve never gone to a movie alone so idk how to take in snacks
Yea not sure why not having a friend would change your plan. Did you use them as a decoy or something?
Nice humblebrag about knowing a chick. Just put em in your pockets, those high school kids don't care.
Posting about sneaking snacks into the movie theater made me think about this. I wouldn't think anything of a teenager doing this. As an adult, however, candy at the movies is like $3.50. At what age does it become unacceptable to try to game the system to save a couple bucks on your num-nums?
I'm not against bringing food but sneaking it in as an adult seems wierd to me. Just carry that box of sweedish fish in your hand.
I just got all the way to the theater and forgot my card and this one doesn’t take e tickets. Gosh dangit
