Happy deadline day everyone Newcastle has a keeper from Sparta Prague flying to Newcastle for a loan with option to buy. Apparently slimani from Leicester is also an route.
Same. Nothing like filtering through League One and Serie B transfer alerts for the odd big move alert.
I'm just dreading the Giroud flash tbh. Otherwise, we are closed for business. Can't believe they got two decent players in the winter window. I can't even spell their names yet.
And Mitrovic to Anderlect and Rolando Aarons to Verona on loan. The excitement of adding players led me to forgetting other moves.
Former Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has been released from his contract at Antalyaspor!
So Anderlecht couldn't get the funds to sanction the Mitrovic loan. Word is he's now headed to #Fulham on loan
Dortmund transfers the last 18 months or so Hummels Auba Mickey Dembele Gundogan They're about 100 million pounds in the black this year though. Wonder what they do with it.
Well they are not going to compete with Bayern financially so they will do what they always do. Buy every young kid in Germany, Switzerland, Poland and a few other random countries where they have interest.
For sure. They have been a little more spendy than historically lately, but unfortunately the guys they bought (Schurrle, Phillipp, Yarmo, Gotze) haven't brought the returns they were seeking.
Even better, they both joined a club that was just promoted lol. 2 years ago Carrasco scored in the CL final. He's 24 and basically just threw away his football career
Hate it but he could go make a ridiculous amount of money for a year or 2 and then try to get back into Europe
At this point I’d be shocked if he’d give up th wages considering that’s the entire reason with him/them signing there
I just tried to look at it from the other side. It seems like there’s no way these crazy wages can continue long term so strike while the iron is hit, come back at 26 and compete in your prime. Its plenty likely he won’t come back though
I get it. I’m disappointed in the sense I thought Carrasco was a good young talent. I know it’ll read stupidly but I hate all the players going to China. They already make ridiculous money to play a sport. Why go to a shitty league when you’re already making good money
I looked to see how Oscar was doing during the United/Chelsea match and based on how he looked I can't imagine that it's not fun to play there too. He and Hulk look to be having fun.
President Xi Jinping has dedicated an insane amount of financial resources to sport and specifically soccer. Hell, Tevez got 615k per week when he signed. I can certainly understand guys who grew up in Brazilian favelas basically setting their entire families up for life and to exert themselves physically at a fraction of what they normally would at a bigger league jumping at the money.
Yeah I love whenever someone gets a new gigantic deal just for the reminders that Lavezzi is the highest paid player in the world
Mostly just good here Don’t think anyone disagreed but more just amazing at how well he’s bounced back. Spot on Well said Oh no Not wrong This was my defense of Carrasco moving to China. Well said
