Heard about this show for a couple years and finally decided to jump in. 2 seasons so far, with the 3rd coming shortly. Have watched the first 8 eps of the first season and it's really really good. I have not. Didnt even know there was a movie Im halfway through S2 and it's still strong. I DL the book it's based on. Looking forward to reading it after Im done watching
Finished Season 2 last night. Cant rec this show enough. Season 3 is supposed to air sometime next year. Can't wait.
Just finished the book. Very different from the show, but still cool. They took a lot of stories from the book and incorporated them into the show. Spoiler: season1 The piss drinking was something that really happened

Suburra was decent but falls quite a bit behind Gomorra as it’s not as realistic but I liked it better than the movie Suburra that it’s based on
2 are on Netflix, 3 has been shown in Italy, 4 comes in 2019. Just saw the episode of Prince getting killed , liked him a lot.
Supposedly first episode of season 3 had the highest numbers for a show ever in Italy, so says my brother in law and he's quite smart so gonna believe him

they made a ton of references in season 1 to him not being Pietro's blood. Pietro also said once that the mom couldn't have kids but wasn't sure if that was before or after Genny. The chick from season 2 was going through the photo album and talking about how much Genny looks like Pietro but Pietro didn't say anything. No idea, guess it doesn't matter now.
Season 4 starts next week. Also - Suburra apparently is a similar show that take place in Rome and about the Roman mob. Was recommended by a coworker who likes Gomorrah. Havent checked it out yet.
They’re extremely similar, IMO. I’ve watched all of Suburra. It’s pretty good. I’d recommend. I wasn’t able to get through S2 of Gomorrah, so I’m still wondering if I should dive back in. Both shows are so damn similar that I couldn’t recall which show was which until I started S2 of Suburra.

Absolutely loved the first two seasons of this and I just started suburra since it looks like Gomorrah is not coming back on netflix. I am disapointed Not as raw, Just not the same in a bad way.
Well that's good to know. I still need to watch S4 of Gomorrah. I havent gotten into the mood to really pay attention and read subtitles. Once I do though, I knock it out in a week or so.
