I disagree. While the grind is certainly there for hardcore players, I feel like casuals can easily drop in for a couple of hours, kill some monsters and have fun doing it. It’s not like there is some super compelling storyline that makes everyone want to finish it. Also, I’ve been solely playing dual blades from the get go. It’s fantastic for quick-hitting, get in, get out type damage. Hitting that whirlwind attack on a monster’s head and spinning all the way down its spine and off its tail is extremely satisfying. I still wish there was more attack combo options, though.
What do I do when the Legiana freezes me? It zaps my stamina. I have fire herbs, which I think I used, but I have to go to the crafting list, which is cumbersome when I'm midfight.
That's why I use the wheel for everything. Pretty much have the locations of all the stuff I use memorized. Cuts down a lot of time scrolling through the item list. You can also craft things from the wheel, saves a good bit of time
I have the Palico commands on my wheel, but I’m pretty sure I got a special needs cat. It only responds to commands when it feels like it. I don’t know how many times I’ve whistled for it to bring me a vigorwasp, it respond that it’s bringing one, only to watch it just sit there. Meanwhile I’m panicking, trying to find another way to heal. On the opposite end, earlier today, I set down a health booster, started healing only to see him come flying in with a vigorwasp delivery, drop that on my head and then immediately plop a vigorwasp station right on top of me again. Also, it only knocks me out of stun like 10% of the time, while watching me freak out, hoping whatever I’m fighting doesn’t unleash some major attack.
Needed 4 7 star quests to complete my limited bounties , so I hunted 4 high rank Articuno's to get that quest as well. All 3 done and those rewards will be sweet later
Max Is 100 once you beat low rank hunts you get high ranked hunts that will really test your skills. You've barely scratched the surface of this game
Fuck Captain Save a Ho aka the Bazelgeuse it saves more monsters from being slain I've wasted so much extra resources because of that twat waffle.
I mean I do use the dung pod but just the mere sight of him when I've got a monster on the ropes is just annoying
Time to use the plunderblade to its fullest to farm Negrigante for a few more parts for a glaive that will help in later hunts by a considerable margin.
I got to HR 50 today How long should we wait to post spoilers? Another week seems fair. Anyone on PS plan on playing after HR 50? I want to go mess around with the Hunter Horn with people that know what they are doing. My matchmaking has been completely hit or miss so far.
I'm doing all the optional quests before I take on the 3 elder drakes . I only have the half level 6 and half the level 7s to go
been running with my friend who has almost beat the story (he thinks) game is so fun. fights are getting pretty challenging too.
Responded to an SOS flare from a HR 60, we fought a tempered Vaal Hazak and odogaren that was crazy . working on the components for a rarity 8 glaive.
In case anyone is like me and tries to go after trophies/achievements, there is an event quest this week that has you hunt the 5 low rank monsters in the Ancient Forest. The spawn rate for miniature and giant crown monsters seems to be higher than playing normally. I’ve played it twice and gotten 2 minis and 3 giants out of them. So, probably a decent place to farm those if you are so inclined. It also gives a decent amount of HR, as well. What those two crowns actually mean I have no idea. Just something else to grind for?
I really feel like that if there is triple RNG on Warrior/Hero’s streamstones, the drop rate should be higher than 3%. Either that or not make them weapon specific. Having to rely on the drop rate, the weapon type AND rarity is a little too much. I’ve probably put in 30 or so hours farming them and gotten 5 Warrior (3 of them Ranged) and 1 Hero’s (also Ranged). I really had no interest in playing with the Bowgun, but I kinda feel like I have to now
How do I get more Nullberries? I thought I could cultivate them at the tree, but didn't see them listed. WTF is up with that? Edit: I guess I could cultivate blue mushrooms in order to make herbal medicine.
