Not only does it suck that she had to go home, but it doubly sucks bc kwame lost out on a chance to compete
Yeah Kwame should have been brought in. It worked out for producers though because it gets the numbers back to where originally planned. Kinda surprised Brother didn't last longer but he was a dick in LCK so fuck him.
I'll be 100% shocked if Claudettes team doesn't lose next still in restaurant wars. Since she just doesn't do team competitions well
Nailed it Although that's was definitely one of the more even restaurant wars I can remember. No team completely flopped like normally happens
felt like Common Place was a flop given how disjointed the concept and execution were. Esp Joe and Chris not executing their dishes. Claudette trying to blame others for being terrible, again, deserved more outrage. Hope she doesnt make it on LCK. Conifer was one of the better executed Restaurant Wars of recent memory. But they didnt seem to have to do much as past seasons in terms of Interior Design, Staff training, Beverages, etc. Seemed like production scaled it back a bit.
I hate Claudette more than anyone ever. More than Hosea or Kevin winning this shit once. That restaurant wars seemed easy. Was it last season where they had to do lunch and dinner? That shit was hard. I want to see an all day concept, breakfast, lunch, and dinner done one year.
The moustache Joe has been so consistently overated/bad for episodes now Why on earth keep him around
Thought for sure he was going home this week, especially after they started the episode with his phone call. He'll be home in the next couple
Really enjoying what Tom is bringing this season. He seems to be more engaged in his role of mentor and judge than in some past seasons.
I wish Adrienne sucked this week because she just isn't as good as the rest of them. Oh well, Chris seems like a really good dude and I hope his place sees a nice bump from this.
I really can't believe she's made the finals. Just kinda skated in the middle/bottom middle the whole season and all the sudden, here we are in telluride and she's one of the last 4 standing
I disagree about Adrienne. I think she has crazy tools & experience... She’s yet to produce a really poor dish & it’s just taken longer to put it all together. The Colorado chic is punching way above her weight right now & has no business in the top 4. I would eat the hell out of Chris’s food & will make it to his place in Brooklyn, the next time I’m up in NYC
She has, but she's made a lot of toast in doing so. Think that's his point. She's killed it but the difficulty level hasn't been as high for her. She just executes really really well.
Making a dish without proteins and only onions, honey, and lemon is super difficult. She wins because they judge her dish to be the best. Trying to take anything away from her is stupid.
How is saying she doesn't belong in the top 4 not wrong? She clearly does. Perhaps she is punching above her weight because she doesn't have the pedigree but she is doing her thing and doing it well.
I think she deserves to be there. I think the point is that she has overachieved and beaten expectations to get there.
Yea Ive liked Adrienne. Sasto is the guy who hasnt performed. Then pulls that out his ass this week. The local girl has been making pretty basic concepts, shes just executed almost every time unlike Joe. But then this week she over thought it. Agree with this. I took it as - she doesnt have the pronounced background/training but she's been creative + while executing at a high level; a.k.a the purpose of the show's challenge.
was surprised Sasto got eliminated over Adrienne. Tho I prefer the latter over the totality of the competition. Joe mustve missed the mark with the sourdough component.
Sasto has crazy technique & talent, but really only saw one dish of his I wish I could have tasted (lasagna + pigs feet). Think he’ll end up as the best of the bunch, but it hasn’t all come together yet
Sasto had what seemed like the worst dish at least 3-4 times this season based on comments. Judges definitely like him and think he is talented but he isn't ready for the big leagues yet. All in on Joe.
Kinda surprised Joe won after his 3rd course. Must have been some amazing asparagus. Ended up being a good season.
His pasta looked incredible, but I was surprised as well. Seemed all she did wrong was smash the peas & need more banana for her incredible looking dessert. Thought his steak was gonna cost him though
Thought for sure the steak was going to be his undoing. Overall all that food looked amazing. And it's funny, I just watched last night episode 8 of ugly delicious and the whole episode was on Italian stuffed pasta vs Asian dumplings and what's better and is there any room for some fusion. And that was that second course. Good finale. Good season
Interesting interview. It wasn't as close as it seemed. The bedb didn't sound like it was as big a deal as it was edited and the octopus was worse. http://www.vulture.com/2018/03/top-chef-season-15-finale-tom-colicchio-interview.html
The octupus concept sounded amazing The edit def made you think not cooking Steak properly would be the x factor
