Shit is stressing me out. Should be about 8-1. Keeping me from going to lunch. Welp, as I'm typing that...
Just inconsistent. The more he plays the better he will get. When he's on, the timing of the passes and runs of the front three and outside backs is something to behold.
Boy had an indoor game so just watching, TAA was amazing today on both ends and Robertson is exactly what I have always wanted at LB after Enrique, Moreno and Milner.
Guys we're really fucking good. Curious to see who we pull for the next round in Champions (prob Barca). Our attack gives us a decent chance against anybody
Biggest weakness had been set piece goals. VVD size and awareness in the box has instantly improved that weakness. If that holds, we can play with pretty much anyone. Dark horse but chance isn't miniscule.
Obviously the talent on the Spanish teams and Bayern top to bottom is better than what we have. I'll always be concerned about goalie as well, but got damn our offense is really tough up top, even without coutinho
I look forward to oxlade Chamberlain after a year under klopp. He tends to make good players world class players.
Paul Joyce says the DM they want to replace Can is Jorginho from Napoli. I know nothing about him. I'm curious if they want to spend whatever it would take to get Alisson or invest heavily in an attacking midfielder. Need a backup winger too.
Don't recall that. I know Klopp 2 years ago wanted Zielinski who is with Napoli, but the owners of Udinese and Watford had some beef with FSG and wouldn't sell Zielinski to Liverpool for what they sold him to Napoli.
One major difference in our play since signing VVD is can/hendo not playing in between the two cbs. That drove me nuts for years. Now can/hendo are 10 yards further up the pitch allowing VVD to distribute since he’s so good with his feet.
I am under no delusion that we are going to get Alisson and Jorginho this coming summer, but the fact that we are strongly and credibly linked with both players shows how far we've come since the days of Balotelli, Lambert, Lovren, Lallana, Markovic.
Right now our midfield is a bigger problem than our keeper if Karius is going to keep playing like this
Yeah, but unless Jorginho has changed since last time I saw him, which he might have, he was more an 8 than a 6
He's played as the deepest player all year for Napoli who are in the drivers seat to win Serie A this year. He's not a destroyer 6 but neither is Can or Hendo.
My favorites for young talent would be: Dendoncker (best work rate) Fabinho (best all around mix) Weigl (fits how Klopp plays best) Diawara (only 19, so will get even better) Ndidi (guy has taken on Kante's role fabulously) I really like Bakayoko, but Chelsea will not sell him. I'm also not sure this is an area Klopp will go too young if we are replacing Can.
The fuck at no penalty at the end when salah got raked from behind? Didn't matter but holy shit that was blatant.
