We had an outside cat and an opossum kept eating his food. My dad caught him and put him in a trashcan. A bunch of my buddies and I put a leash on him and walked him around the neighborhood. His name was Master Splinter and he was not happy about the experience.
He played dead as soon as we dumped him out of the trashcan so it wasn't hard. The difficult part was getting him to walk. He either wanted to run away or play dead. Every once in a while he'd start screeching at us.

I think we’re about to start seeing some really nice renovations, here in Vestavia in/around City Hall and the City Center, some already starting at VHEW. Vestavia City Center (Moes, Starbucks, Samurai) was just purchased by New York based developer, Katz Properties. Also, TreeTop apartments, large complex behind Southminster Church/adjacent to VHEW, was just purchased by the Dobbins Group (http://www.dobbinsgroup.net/). Word is they’re completely overhauling the dated apartments, raising the rent $500/mo and possibly mixing in retail. All this in addition to all the capital improvements being done to Wald Park, rec facilities, and the Gold’s Gym acquisition is really going to improve this area over the next few years.

Have any of you had interactions with Moretti at Vulcan Park or Tapestry Park apartments? Moretti has good reviews, I went and toured Tapestry and thought it was fine but the reviews are absolutely horrible. I might be in the market for a nice 2 bedroom but looking to be reasonable priced as opposed to spending 2400/mo at Lane Parke. I guess loft recommendations would be good as well. Need 2 bedrooms preferably under 1600.
The knock I've heard on Tapestry is that the walls/ceiling/floors are thin and you will be aware of every step your upstairs neighbor takes
And if you saw those places being built, this would be like the most unsurprising thing you've ever heard...
I know multiple people that live at the Moretti and like it. Beware any place that’s owned by JH Berry....absolutely terrible leasing company that we’re currently enduring

I know very little about it but seems rad outside looking in. Downtown baseball stadiums are trendy now but Birmingham's a football town...they should lean in to that identity and reestablish it for the next generation. Plus me and my Gamecock buddies will have a nice stadium to visit every January

Met Senator Jones at Moe’s Lakeview yesterday. Told him I donated to his campaign, he said “well that’s good, because we’re running again in 2020” Got a big laugh from the group. So glad he won.

My #sources are telling me that Delgreco, Barker, and Kurre will no longer be employed by WJOX. The OD is off the air and the Roundtable will be taking it’s spot, effective Monday.
Wonder if Cole Cubelic and LT could get that 10-2 spot. LT and Rockstar could handle the show on Fridays during football season when Cole has to travel.
Seemed like there was a lot of on air tension between the OD crew. Must of been exhausting to work with Jay Barker every morning.
Not sure how I feel about this until I know what’s going in the 10-2 spot. And if Cole was on JOX I would listen religiously
I’m a huge Roundtable fan, but I’d be fine with Ryan and Jim taking the morning spot and LT, Cubelic, and Rocky getting the 10-2. I started a new job last January that doesn’t really facilitate 10-2 listening anyway, so this might not be that bad.
Radio firings are done with extreme quickness. Can’t be going on air to air out your dirty laundry right after.
