Easily NSFW Listened to it while working one day and it’s one of the most depressing things ever. Literally can put a person into a pretty shitty mood. - The East City Rapists is fascinating because he went from a serial rapist in Sacramento to, what they believe, a guy who murdered around 10 people after. Never caught - Ian Brady and his gf Myra Hindley are pretty fucked up (The Moors Murders) because it’s like Bonnie & Clyde of serial killers type shit.
I watched the interview with Dahmer and his father last week at work from roughly around the time he was beaten to death in prison. Dude sounded as ‘normal’ as a cannibal murder could be. Sidebar, I live 15 minutes from his childhood home and site of his first kill.
Yeah. Its been a long time though. He always interested me because i have family in the area he was from and knew some of his victims. Ive been to a couple of places he dumped people.
Whatever the population is of that part of South Carolina, about 5x that number of people claimed to have been parked next to Pee Wee's ambulance/hearse thing that he drove everywhere at some point.
Serial killers are great, but one-offs interest me more. The Robinhood Hills murders and Johnny Gosch disappearance drive me crazy trying to solve in my head.
‘Casefile’ is my go to. A few that are ‘meh’ and a few that are outstanding, 75% of them fall in the good category. Most are between 40 minutes and a hour 10 minutes. 3-4 are 3+ episodes and those usually are the best.
I just read up on Gosch on Wikipedia. Nothing seemed all that crazy other than the Franklin child prostitution ring which seemed kinda out there.
Should have called it by the more well-known name of the West Memphis Three. Googled Robinhood Hills murders and realized it was the same thing, but that made me stumble upon this longform article on them that was posted 4 days ago. Don't know anything about the website though. https://theunredacted.com/the-west-memphis-three-a-deal-with-the-devil/
http://swordandscale.com/the-sadistic-halloween-slaying-of-shirley-lynette-ledford/ Have the Toolbox Killers been discussed yet? The transcript of the torture recording of their last victim is brutal to read.
Edited: I don’t think so, fucked up, super good thing they got caught at a pretty low kill count. (Relatively)
You are right, got them mixed up. Yea, Toolbox killers were from LA and luckily they got caught because they might be as fucked up as any I’ve heard about. I believe, when people heard the video in the court room many had to leave because it simply was too much. FBI agent said it was the worst thing he has heard in his entire time.
Also this guy: The pictures of his victims are incredibly surreal and haunting. If they don’t all show up in that video they’re pretty easy to find just by searching his name. (I haven’t watched the video yet).
Yeah idk about everyone else but I'm going to pass on watching teenage boys getting fondled while unconscious and then dismembered What the fuck is wrong with you
The book Mind Hunter by John Douglas got me interested in this stuff. Phenomenal book with great interviews. The Netflix series bearing the same name is pretty good but not on par with the book. Team Ed Kemper.
Not a serial killer but a story that fascinated me as a America's Most Wanted viewer https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaika_Griffin
