Is there audio available somewhere or just the transcripts? I watched 120 Days of Sodom, I like to have my disgust factor tested.
No. Not really. You can search for the transcript (a few sites have it) and there’s a small snippet of the actual audio at the beginning of a news story on one site (I can’t recall which) but the full audio has never been released.
Yeah someone posted about wanting people to post more videos so I did. The articles and image searches are much more informative.
Not sure if you guys listen to True Crime Garage or not, but this week’s case is Todd Koelhepp, the SC real estate killer. Should be interesting.
Stuff is starting to heat up on the East Area Rapist/Original Night Stalker who was also likely the Visalia Ransacker. Here’s his voice
What I found most interesting about this guy, when listening to a podcast, was the original department projecting his ‘path’ down the coast. The other was a detective talked to an psychological crime expert (maybe from the fbi?) that predicted that he would progress from rapes to murder eventually. This turned out to be the case.
Reading probably the most thorough book written on the Golden State Killer/East Area Rapist, by Michelle McNamara (Patton Oswalt’s late wife). Came out last week and is impossible to put down. It’s called “I’ll be Gone in the Dark,” and I highly recommend it.
Pretty good list: https://m.ranker.com/list/21st-cent...ef=collections_btm&l=2357210&collectionId=100
If they added those 2 drive by guys, there is almost no way you can’t add the DC snipers on that list. Essentially caused an entire major metro to take extreme precautions just to get gas.
Apparently there’s a psychiatric debate as to whether or not they’re considered serial killers or spree killers.
I figured that had to be the case. It’s one of those things I could argue either way. It always feels like ‘serial’ killers have a certain connotation (similar to the porn line, ‘I know what one is, but can’t put an exact wording on it). I’d almost call them a combination of a few things, but my first thought would honestly be more of a terrorist type killers than serial killers. It’s an interesting subject by itself, how you classify and differentiate something that falls under the same umbrella of evil.
The_411 beat me to it. The OG Night Stalker is the GOAT. Some of the creepiest, deranged shit I've ever read. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Original_Night_Stalker
https://www.liveleak.com/view?i=637_1325756512 Andre Silvko home movies from the 60’s. It starts of fairly benign (albeit creepy footage of Boy Scouts troop he oversaw) up until around the 3 minute mark when he starts filming his bondage/noose games and shoe fetish. Then it moves on to a short clip of a dead child and him starting to dismember him. It’s around 6 min total.
Have you been through Ramirez’s shit? Goddamn. A lot of these killers have like 2 of themselves but Ramirez was full on just enjoying what he did and having fun.
You watched some fictitious torturous violence so you want to push the boundaries and hear actual torture carried out? This, after reading the insanely fucked up transcript? Might be time to consider seeking help.
Serial killer "stocking strangler" from the 70's in my hometown was executed today. http://www.ledger-enquirer.com/news/local/article205439479.html
Was watching some BTK confession shit. How did that guy just stop killing people and live a somewhat normal life?
The way BTK talked so matter of factly and casually about his crimes is fucking chilling. What a guy.
This is saying he may have been in Australia https://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/australia-mr-cruel-golden-state-killer-ear-links-12860517.php
Patton Oswalt's late wife wrote a book about him that became a bestseller right before she died. May have contributed to renewed interest and finding him.
What DNA? They never caught Mr Cruel and don't have his DNA, as the evidence that might have had it was lost.
Guy was supposedly a cop during most of the sexual assaults, then got fired for shoplifting. The killings started soon after.
Would make sense by a lot of the mannerisms associated with the EAR. I randomly stumbled upon him in a Casefile 4 part podcast and have listened to every one I could get a hold of in the 6 months since then. I’m about 3/4 through ‘I’ll be gone in the dark.’ Fascinating case that, if this is the guy, will see a flood of movies and documentaries pop up in the next 10 years as a result.
Think he's saying the guy they caught in AUS is a match to the murders in California and there's a potential connection to Mr. Cruel but nothing proven
