Ordered the Whole Hog BBQ plate with Mac & cheese and potato salad. Tasty, but didn’t blow me away like the chopped brisket at Lewis
The best thing at Scott’s is the ribs. They are easily the best in Charleston and some of the best I’ve had anywhere. The pork is hit or miss.
They did the pizza pop up this Saturday at lewis and I wanted to go but I was at low tides 2nd birthday so I missed it Major first world problems over here
It's only happened twice. There was a local mobile pizza maker who did it like last February and it was awesome. Those people moved to LA but we're back this weekend for Charleston food and wine and they did it again. Hopefully they'll do it again with one of the other mobile pizza makers because it was awesome
Looking like Ive got another bachelor party is in the planning stages for Charleston, is Daniel island to far out to consider staying?
It was great as usual. Got another reservation the end of this month. Place is phenomenal We had: Lentil soup Beef taco Salmon with couscous Steak with a delicious potato side Puerto Rican coconut thing I've never seen before that was delicious and I don't even like coconut
Went Thursday night to the event that was held at the Bus station which was very cool and also got to go to the culinary village on Saturday. Had a great time at both and thought the organizers did a really good job. DIdnt hurt that the weather was very nice for both events. Will go back next year.
In town Thursday night through Saturday. Lewis BBQ is a must. Thinking bar at Husk or Minero one night. Any other recs? Will the tournament be a big deal since CoC is playing Friday night?
That will be a popular event at certain bars for sure. Hometeam, The alley or Charleston beer works would probably be where I'd watch. Go to Edmunds oast brewing, can eat there or at the workshop that's right there attached to it. Xiao bao, Leon's, 167 raw, tattooed moose. Lots of good shit, anything specific you really like/want
It’s hard because I’m with my dad and he has certain places he likes. I’m going to suggest edmunds oast. Thanks. Will add those to the list. Do you think I’d need reservations at all?
Husk, yes. Everywhere else no but there will be waits some places. Edmunds oast the restaurant is nicer and great, Edmunds oast the brewery is cheaper and a brewery and still great. I'd make reservations at Edmunds oast restaurant just to be safe. Sometimes the wait is long af
Yeah lol there's no way to get them for this weekend unless you just get really lucky. That service that you pay to fill cancellations may be worth a shot
I’m going to sound like a hype beast but Rodney Scott BBQ is amazing too. My dad and I split the whole hog plate and ribs. By far the best ribs I’ve ever had. Not even close. Whole hog was also amazing and definitely best I’ve ever had.
A couple of friends just opened up Daps. Not sure what I think about the concept but looking forward to some good breakfast food.
Going to be staying downtown on a bachelor party the first weekend in May. Are there any Kentucky Derby or Cinco de Mayo events anyone is familiar with they’d recommend? Or maybe bars that would be a good time for a big day drinking day?
There will be lots of parties and there's a shit load of places to day drink. I'll check and see if anyone has announced their events yet
Had it for lunch today and it was freaking delicious. A little pricey but really good. I highly suggest checking it out.
