Welcome. The College Hockey World has been waiting for the B10 arrival. Had so many friends(mostly Minnesota rubes) tell me how B10 hockey was going to dominate from day 1. Since the alignment I will throw out these numbers to ponder. Head to head between NCHC and B10...59-20-8 in favor of NCHC Non Conference Records overall Big 10 217-167-41 .559 NCHC 247-139-56 .622 Non Conference Records when you take out the Atlantic Hockey Games Big 10 158-156-35 .503 NCHC 226-128-54 .620 That said, I think the B10 will remain a power in College Hockey as they have solid coaches in place but the NCHC isn't going anywhere. Pulling for UMD this weekend(conference mate who happens to be coached by UND alum), then Penn St., Notre Dame, and then Michigan.
I would like to say I did that on purpose....but I didn't. Wouldn't be the worst thing for college hockey if Ohio State or Notre Dame won it.
I wouldn't be mad at anyone that won the title, but my order of preference is 1) Ohio State, 2) UMD, 3a) Notre Dame, 3b) Michigan. Latter two are basically interchangeable for me.
Ohio State apparently thought they had another couple hours before it started. Did *not* expect that score when I turned on the tv
Pretty awful period. Had a chance to blow the game open but Cecconi took a terrible penalty and since then ND has convincingly controlled the game. 2-2 entering the third.
I can't imagine what its like being the opposing team facing Hughes. He's the best player in the game but Bucc and Melrose seem to be going out of their way to jack him off to the point where I'm annoyed.
I know how they are calling a game, so I expected it. And honestly I just hold my breath every time he touches the puck
Nah, just facts. Jeff Jackson sitting on a lead late in third is a no bueno situation, no space in neutral ice.
Great game! Wow I'm at a loss for words right now. I have a feeling we wont be on the positive side a lot against Michigan the next few years, so we'll take this one
Seriously, it was in the corner with about 8-10 seconds left. There was no reason we should have had a chance to score there. I'm at a complete loss for words right now
My street has overlapping lots so that I have 2 neighbors across the street. One is a couple Michigan alums and the other played hockey at Notre Dame. Both put their flags out today so this was very fun for me as a by-stander.
Most Minnesotans will cheer for the in state school. I’ll lean ND. I don’t have particularly strong feelings either way though.
