Remember to buy other shit, and visit record stores on non-record-store-days! I’m gonna hit a few places tomorrow afternoon...would love to score a few things, but whatever. Will buy records either way.)
I’ve started going to Seasick, the one I posted the Instagram posts from ITT, every Saturday morning. If nothing else, I grab something from the $3 bin. You targeting the 2/27/69 Fillmore West release tomorrow?
That and the Neil Young release. There’s an allman brothers show that looks cool too. It sucks that all the ones I want are gonna be expensive as hell haha.
I’m hoping to grab that and/or Billy Breathes as a wedding gift for a friend getting married tomorrow night. Will it be tough? Trying to gauge what time I need to be there.
I really don’t know. They’re promoting the hell out of opening early and lines and shit. But, there are other releases that I expect will be more sought after here. I’m going to get there between 6:30 and 7 because I always wake up at 6. Probably going to grab a cup of coffee and breakfast next door and hop in line. If they’ll let me buy two, I’ll grab you one.
Ive done Seasick the last couple of years and gotten there between 6:30-7:00 both times. Been anywhere from 20th to 30th in line probably.
I am interested in Rage Against the Machine - Live at the Democratic National Convention 2000, Living Colour - Live at CBGB's, and Soundgarden - A-Sides

Music Millenium is a pretty great record store - I saw Chris Robinson do an in-store there last year and enjoyed such fun!
It’s raining and cold(by middle of April in Florida standards) and there’s still consistently a line of 15-20 outside my relatively small store.
I’m pretty pleased with my haul. -Notorious BIG “Juicy” -Dylan & The Dead -Grateful Dead Fillmore West 2/27/1969 -Jerry Garcia “Run for the Roses” -Brian Eno w/ Kevin Shields -The Allman Brothers Band at Atlanta International Pop Festival
Local store, which is pretty small, had people lined up starting at 5:30. Didn’t get anything in my list. The larger store in town sits behind other buildings and doesn’t have street-facing windows, so they can’t participate.
Picked up Marty Stuart, Led Zeppelin, and Fleet Foxes from the record store in Oxford, MS. Also got the new Decemberists and A Perfect Circle, neither part of RSD though. I got to the Square at 9. They open at 10, but I didn’t see a line. So I was like, shit, I’ll walk over and get some breakfast. Came back about a quarter til, and still no line. Got to the stairs, and I see a long ass line going down the alley. I should’ve known the Ole Miss hipsters would come out in droves for RSD. I mostly wanted the Johnny Cash and The Doors. Shit out of luck on the first, of course, but then missed the latter by one customer. There’s already a Johnny Cash on eBay. I’m all about a free marketplace, but that just seems to be against the spirit of RSD. I guess the record stores still benefit, so that’s good at least.
New store on the square is awesome, much better than the trailer. Think they've also been able to get better records since they moved, had a much better and wider selection when I was in than I was used too from them.
Forgot to mention, the 7” Motörhead looked really sweet, but it was priced like an LP. I wanted it, but didn’t want it that much. The store even placed a sticker on it apologizing for the price.
I was spoiled. Our big store had everything in spades. The only release that I didn’t have a shot at was Run the Jewels.
I just grabbed the new Jason Isbell live release at another store, as well as a Horrible Crowes and a RL Burnside album at 20% off.
Just went to the third (last) store and snagged Leon Russell Live and Wilco “Schmilco.” And I’m spent.
He has a new live album? Missed on the panic album, but still enjoyed the experience of record store day, farmers market edition. Got there ten minutes after open, and vendor was already out of jalapeno cheddar brats.
Fake news? Yeah the panic album was on sale Friday 4/20 and I had my hands on it but couldn’t pull the trigger at $75 after looking at the songs on it and knowing what I would spend on Saturday.
I got The Dead album, Rage Against the Machine, Allman Brothers, and Courtney Barnett. I was there an hour before the store opened so I was pleased with my haul.
DrunkJester if its Live at San Quentin you were wanting to get I can most likely find that all day here for pretty cheap.
The Rage album is said to have bootleg-like audio quality, which is unfortunate. It's a lot more for the collection than the listening, I think. Just found a copy of the Soundgarden A-Sides on Discogs, and it's on its way.
I'll gladly work out a trade or just straight cash for any of yall that can find me an original ATLiens or Enter the Wu
I've mentioned before, but finding hip-hop vinyl is so weird, it seems. Both of the stores here have single box selections of hip-hop, and they're always garbage. And I haven't seen anything added to them in weeks. I may try the shop out toward Jax beach next month; I've never been there. You probably either have to find a store owner that's into it himself, or find a store somewhere like Atlanta.
