Derby take the early lead after a great play down the wing. 0-1 over Sunderland.

Of the 21 clubs relegated in the last decade, 4 are currently in the Prem and 4 are currently in League One.

2 more will for sure be promoted to the Prem in the next few weeks (pick two: Wolves, Cardiff, Fulham) and likely a 3rd (Derby, Villa, Fulham, Cardiff, Middlesbrough) will join unless Millwall wreaks havoc.

It’s possible 3 more will be relegated to League One (Sunderland, Birmingham, Bolton, Reading all in danger).

But Blackburn and Wigan are about to secure promotion back to the Championship. It’s possible Portsmouth makes it in too.

So it’s a crap shoot. The parachute payments help.

Newcastle’s first bounce back was a large chunk of the same group that got relegated. Last year Rafa made money and also brought in like 10 players, which is still a large chunk of this years team.

I have to think Stoke can hold onto a few players due to their wages, if the owner will take on the burden for a year hoping for a one year bounce back.

Shit's a roller coaster. We went down 5 years ago and 2 years ago damn near got relegated again. Now we're fighting to hang on to an automatic promotion spot.

Not really familiar with Stoke outside of guys like Shaqiri and Chuopo-Moting but maybe thats not the worst thing. When Fulham went down we had been fielding a pretty much unchanged core of guys for like half a decade, all of which close to or on the wrong side of 30. Pretty much all of them left and we had to rebuild with young guys. Lead to 2 years of being bottom of the table and nearly relegated but the last 2 years they have figured it out and we are fielding a strong team with a lot of young talent. It's really not that bad being in the championship. Used to be going down meant you were barely going to be able to find any games to watch, but now that pretty much every team in the football league participates in ifollow or their own streaming service, you can see pretty much every game. At least in the championship there is something to play for besides avoiding relegation. Fulham has gone 20 matches unbeaten, which obviously never could have happened if we were in the prem. I've had more fun following this season (and actually being able to watch almost every single game) than any year since our run to the uefa cup final.

That sucks, and is a stupid move by them. Most of the clubs in the championship, league 1 and 2 use ifollow. I know multiple teams didn't like giving away their content to ifollow so didn't sign up but I was under the impression most if not all of them released their own streaming services (Fulham, Villa, etc.). Didn't know there were teams that had no streaming. Kinda ridiculous that 22 teams in league 2 offer live streaming of all their matches, but yet a club like Sunderland doesn't.

To be fair it’s not like their owner has money to invest in those type of things. At least not money he’s willing to spend

Pretty sure signing up for ifollow is free for the clubs and a lot of them took them up on that offer to the benefit of the supporters. Some just decided to start their own streaming service and charge for it rather than giving away their content.

I don’t much care for the Wolves streaming offerings to the tune of $10/home match but it’s better than has ever been offered stateside. I pay for the big matches and occasionally they’re on espn or bein.

Burton score again in stoppage time to take the lead. Because Burton play Bolton, we are officially relegated.
