Damn, I'm not arguing that yall take him. Just saying it's not a bad option to use if you wanted to gameplan him. Just like Dallas and Zeke. I wouldn't draft another rb to pair with him for now, but he and guice or Rojo would be nice to have
It isn't a pick that would make sense at all. Same with why I have no interest in Kirk, for us, the fit makes no sense
i'm trying to give benefit of doubt to Dorsey and not hold past front office transgressions against him. It becomes difficult in the revolving door of failure that is the front office but I'm trying
I think he'd be good behind the kind of line the browns currently have. There's no way in hell I take him before guice or rojo though
I'm a big dummy who knows nothing but I don't like the Chubb pick and if we were going to go Guard/CB the whole time I'd want Nelson/Jackson or Nelson/use some of your draft capital to go up and get Mike Hughes in the 20s.
I'm not a hater. I just feel like we had other pressing needs and Chubb is a very similar back to Carlos Hyde, who we just signed this offseason.
Eh, he and Hyde and going to share time this year and they can get out of the Hyde deal easily after one year.
can someone please explain to me why we needed another guard when we already have bitonio and zeitler
I’m never upset about adding quality OL, it’s how the Steelers have fucking ruined our lives for two decades — OL and OLB.
Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed. Baker I'm fine with - he would have been my second or third choice but if he's Dorsey's guy and there's no clear #1, I'm willing to ride with it. I'm shocked they took Ward - like you said the highest CB since Charles Woodson - at #4 over Chubb. Position of need but hard to pass on a consensus top 2 or 3 draft talent there and Denver literally tore up a trade they had agreed to rush to take him at 5. We all agreed guard wasn't a position of need yesterday, and they then take one at #33. RB Chubb has health issues and don't think we needed to take a third RB at #35 vs. filling a need elsewhere. I'm obviously going to be pulling for Ward/Chubb/etc. as hard as anybody, but can't say I'm overly thrilled with how we spent the draft capital. Sounds like most people are happy though and YAY WE DIDN'T TAKE JOSH ALLEN, so I'll shut up for the weekend though.
Not a fan of what they did at the top of the second. That said I don’t know anything and maybe they will end up being good choices, but on draft day I don’t really like the choices they made.
i just feel like we have much bigger needs. interior OL is one of the only spots on the team that's pretty rock solid. unless this guy can play tackle, or they plan on moving bitonio to tackle, it seems like a wasted opportunity to fill a more glaring hole.
You don't draft for needs at this point imo. There wasn't anyone there that's a plug and play starter.
He’s the best RB that ever lived for people who saw him (I can only rank Barry #1 because I never saw Jim), but he also beat the piss out of women. While a common thing pre-80s, he was pretty blatant about it. I guess a lot of footballers are abusive, but when it gets ignored because of talent and greatness, it tends to bother more than usual.
In 1965, Brown was arrested in his hotel room for assault and battery against an 18-year-old named Brenda Ayres; he was later acquitted on the charges. A year later, he fought paternity allegations that he fathered Brenda Ayres' child. In 1968, Brown was charged with assault with intent to commit murder after model Eva Bohn-Chin was found beneath the balcony of Brown's second-floor apartment. The charges were later dismissed after Bohn-Chin refused to cooperate with the prosecutor's office. Brown was also ordered to pay a $300 fine for striking a deputy sheriff involved in the investigation during the incident. In Brown's autobiography, he stated that that Bohn-Chin was angry and jealous over an affair he had been having with Gloria Steinem and this argument is what led to the "misunderstanding with the police." In 1970, Brown was found not guilty of assault and battery, the charges stemming from a road-rage incident that had occurred in 1969. In 1975, Brown was sentenced to one day in prison and two years probation, and to pay a fine of $500 for beating and choking his golfing partner Frank Snow.In 1985, Brown was charged with raping a 33-year-old woman. The charges were later dismissed. In 1986, Brown was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend Debra Clark. Clark refused to press charges, though, and Brown was released. In 1999, Brown was arrested and charged with making terrorist threats toward his wife. Later that year, he was found guilty of vandalism for smashing his wife's car with a shovel. He was sentenced to three years' probation, one year of domestic violence counseling, and 400 hours of community service or 40 hours on a work crew along with a $1,800 fine.[43] Brown ignored the terms of his sentence, and in 2000 was sentenced to six months in jail for refusing the court-ordered counseling and community service. He was released after 3 months
After taking a few minutes to read about Corbett, I think I’m more on board with the pick. Started all 4 years, 36 at LT and 12 at RT. They put him at guard at the Senior bowl and he played awesome. They’re going to let him audition at G and T and go from there.
I just don't see Corbett at guard for what we paid our starters at guard. I've come around on Chubb, if we ever manage a lead he'll help wear defenses down.
I'm not furious over any of the pick. I am or was pretty mad with Mayfield, but ok. But literally every pick has to be "justified" or easily second guessed. No one out there is saying we overachieved for what our needs are and the picks we had. Maybe this is the year, but this feels a lot like every other draft year that we look back and are pissed about. Sincerely, Beaten down Browns fan
