Duke came back and beat UNC 11-10 tonight. Great game. UNC led for most of the game but Duke dominated in the 4th to win it
Michigan is dominating face offs but cannot get any good opportunities. We are playing well enough to be leading Maryland but instead we are down 3-2.
Didn't get to watch yesterday, not ND was thoroughly dominated by cuse last night. It will be a long end to the season if Gleason is out for an extended period Hopkins Rutgers on BTN right now. 3-1 Rutgers early!
Lots of Friday night lacrosse going right now Denver beating the shit out of Nova on Fox sports go Albany down big to umbc. Can the retrievers do it *again* against #1
That explains it a bit. Didn't realize fields wasn't playing tonight. Still a huge upset obviously, but this does make more sense
OSU @ Hopkins on ESPNU at noon ET Loyola @ Lehigh on CBS Sports Network at 1 PM ET Army @ BU on CBS Sports Network at 3:15 PM ET Duke @ ND on ESPNU at 4 PM ET Colgate @ Navy on CBS Sports Network at 5:30 PM ET UVA @ UNC on ACC Network @ 6 PM ET tomorrow: Michigan @ Rutgers on ESPNU at noon ET
I think 13-12 UMD, they came back in a flurry after I posted. PSU had a chance with .18 left and couldn’t control.
It was a good game in SC I root for the east coast teams especially Hopkins so I was happy to see PSU put up a great fight.
ND survives a trip to Marquette with a 7-6 win. Scored two in the final 40 seconds to win it. Now 10 days off to fix this fucking offense before a trip to chapel Hill. Really hoping we can turn this season around here at the end
Duke @ UVA on ACC Network tomorrow at 1 PM ET Hopkins @ PSU on ESPNU at 2 PM ET UNC @ Cuse on ESPNU at 4 PM ET
I worked a game where the winning team scored four goals in the last 50 seconds to send the game to OT then scored the game-winner 12 seconds into OT. I remember every little detail about that choke job by my alma mater. Play by play in the box score is fucked up, Lynchburg last scored at 2:51, lost the face-off, forced a turnover, had a chance at an easy clear to run time off the clock if they could keep it in the box, but they went full retard and turned it over just past midfield, a turnover which could have very easily been avoided. Roanoke scored with 50 seconds left, won the face-off, scored quick again, rinse and repeat. Scored the last goal in regulation with 5 seconds left. Four goals in fucking 45 seconds. With about a minute left, our fans were singing that "na na hey hey goodbye" shit. In OT, the FOGO got the groundball, went right down the middle of the field, and no one slid to cover him so he got a one on one with the goalkeeper on the crease http://ws.lynchburg.edu/documents/Athletics/lacrosse_m/2007MLAXstats/lcmen08.htm Most crushing loss of my life up until Kentucky losing in the 2015 Final Four. Now I'm good friends with the motherfucker who took all the face-offs in the comeback and scored the game-winner. Weird how the world turns sometimes.
Been traveling a lot the last few weekends so haven't had a chance to watch much. And was at a concert last night, so couldn't watch acc semis love, but ND and Virginia with huge wins. Syracuse very well might be out of the NCAA tournament which is crazy. Penn State and Michigan in a close one on BTN. 8-7 psu with 10 to go. Maryland Hopkins on ESPNU at 2
Michigan won that game yesterday with Conry running the O. Apparently his offensive assistant resigned after the Rutgers debacle.
wasn't able to follow lax much the past month. Fields was out with a sprained MCL in Albany's loss to UMBC. Against Yale he apparently went down with a non-contact injury to that same leg. But I saw he was back in action yesterday in Albany's win over Hartford. So hopefully he is able to finish the season UVA/ND on ESPNU at 12 PM ET
#Virginia Cavaliers vs #Notre Dame Fighting Irish on ESPNU for the ACC championship. Virginia up 1 early.
The ACC tournament is by far the best the Irish have played all season. Hope we can keep it up the second half and keep rolling into May
Championship weekend. Should be a fun one Personally, I'm just hoping ND doesn't shit the bed against Army Saturday...
Yeah it's just a by product of when the ACC tournament has been played the past few seasons in relation to the start of the season. ND (and Virginia and Duke this year) could either have another midweek game in the middle of the season or schedule a game after the ACC tournament. That will go away next year when the ACC makes there conference tournament a two week thing. Not sure what we'll do then
Conference tournaments are getting going right now. #Rutgers Scarlet Knights is tied with #Maryland Terrapins needing a win to make the NCAA tournament. Games on BTN
Q&A with NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Committee chair John Hardt http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/...-lacrosse-committee-chair-20180502-story.html
This army team is it bad this year, but it certainly seems like this ND team has turned the corner. 12-2 after 3
Fields played in the first three quarters of Albany's 15-10 win over UMass Lowell on Thursday. He didn't score a point and seems to have been very limited before being removed prior to the fourth quarter he didn't play today in their 14-4 W over Vermont in the America East Tournament title game. This injury sucks so god damn much man
Hopkins takes down Maryland for the b1g championship. Wow! Top 8 seeds are gonna be since combo of Yale, maryland, Hopkins, ND, Duke, Albany, Denver (?), And Loyola.
ivy league championship espnu in 30 minutes, then the field is set. i'll be shocked if yale doesn't win, although cornell has the nations leading scorer
