In the case of most of these kids who reclassify, they are returning to their original grade. Baker just did 8th grade twice IIRC.
So 8th grade twice. Probably not an honors student and that being before HS, how does he have enough credit to graduate as a junior?
bagley reclassifying in late july after having gone to three schools in four years and none of the cbb world raising anything of a stink about it will always be funny
Most of these kids are already in private school by that time where the curriculum isn't as rigid. He was probably already taking 9th grade classes during his 2nd 8th grade year.
Right. You may have a good idea that your kid could be something in basketball by middle school but it's impossible to predict how he will develop compared to his peers in the coming years. That extra year of development could be the difference between a D1 ship and a D2.
All because of Jaren Jackson. Still holds a grudge against the school for not hiring him a decade ago. He’s been hating on us since. Pat making up ground tho.
We just had a UVA fan discussion about the hilarious lengths fans will go to to call a player a lock. We are currently a "presumptive favorite" for some Australian PG (who, by the way, is "the next Kyrie") because: 1. His parents are educated 2. His grandfather wrote a book about Thomas Jefferson 3. We have an Aussie, a Kiwi, and some guy who played at the FIBA academy in Australia on the roster.
It never made sense for him to move to 2018 with Quade back and Hagans seemingly a lock to reclassify.
Cal will never win another title, congrats to him though for buying the best talent since Lebron to get him his 1 title.
Sounds like there’s a chance um could land top 30 texas wing Jalen Wilson this weekend, he and dj carton(supposedly lead for him) would be quite the class for beilein
best part was ~20 seconds left Panama had a fast break with nothing but open court in front only to get swatted from behind, have the follow up shot also get swatted, rebounded by the U.S., and kicked ahead for another 3 believe the announcer said they had 11 turnovers in the quarter, really struggled against the press, finally picked up 8 points in the 2nd though as the U.S. worked on their zone
Nobody's put up big numbers, balanced scoring with a ton of assists. 118 points, leading scorer had 15
Rick Stansbury back to doing his thing again, landing 2019 #3 overall player Charles Bassey and he will reclassify to 2018.
prior to being HC at Miss St, he was an assistant there from 1990-1998 they made a Final Four in 95-96 and Dontae' Jones (a 2-year college transfer who somehow passed 36 hours the summer before enrolling) was one of their best players Stansbury has been shady AF for a long time https://www.wsj.com/articles/SB111038688361474725
How do UNC fans feel about their shot with JRE? I heard Roy coaching his dad (Lester Earl) might put you as a favorite but hopefully proximity and coaching him in the u18 can overcome that.
Bassey might not have actually graduated from high school... http://kentuckysportsradio.com/main...tuckysportsradio/kFbt+(Kentucky+Sports+Radio)
lmao at Stansbury adding his handler to his staff. I thought that shit wasn't allowed anymore? Dude just doesn't give a shit and continues to skirt major sanctions and I have no idea how.
I think the rule is that if you hire them, it has to be as a coach, not some type of support staff. Since the NCAA has a limit on the # of coaches who can recruit or do on-court coaching, it's definitely cut down on some of this type of behavior. The WKU coaching staff page, which also lists some of the non-coaching staff, hasn't been updated to reflect his addition, and there is nothing about it on hoopdirt, so not sure what role he was hired into.
Really interested what will happen with Zach Harvey (#45 in 2019 - https://247sports.com/Player/Zach-Harvey-85722) He just pled down to a misdemeanor for endangering a child and privacy violation after originally being charge with a felony for exploitation of a child. Sounds awful but in reality, when he was 16, he and two friends had naked snapchat photos of a 15 year old classmate. I didn't go to high school in the age of camera phones but I'm sure this is far from a rare situation in today's schools and I feel bad that a lot of schools will back away now because he will be listed as a sexual predator even though he was only a year older than the girl. http://www.cjonline.com/sports/2018...lesser-charges-related-to-march-2017-incident
G DJ Carton is #23 in the 2019 247 Composite Rankings he's down to IU, Michigan & OSU probably Michigan bound
