Why would he quit? Gores is a dumbfuck that doesn’t know shit about basketball. SVG is getting an extension.
I'm speaking in a hypothetical where Gores has balls and tells Stan that he wants a complete front office overhaul with at least a new GM. That doesn't mean SVG wouldn't still get his money for next year, but I still think it's in play that SVG sees the writing on the wall and they decide to part ways.
Mitchell should have been the pick. I thought that before and after the draft. It's obvious now. That said, Kennard showed some signs in the second half of the season when he got some starts and consistent playing time. I think he can be a good starting 2 with all the attention the bigs are going to get, and with our need to emphasize any shooting we have.
We gotta be at bottom of coaching jobs though. No draft pick, and no cap room. Basically fucked for next 3-4 years.
I always believed. This makes me happy. At least there's something to follow now leading up to the draft.
We don’t have a draft pick. Don’t matter who we hire, we are fucked unless we can find a way to move Drummond and Reggie.
I'm really hoping that Gores lets whomever is hired as the Team Pres make the call on the GM and everything else. It's kind of pointless if that's now how it plays out.
If Gores is going to mandate we must be a playoff team, it won’t matter who we hire. I assume that’s what happens here. I would love it if the next guy can tear this down to the studs. Hire Hinkie.
At this point, I think that's the wrong call. You can't tear it down to the studs and tank with Blake on the roster. Only way you can dump him is to give up picks, and that defeats the purpose of tearing it down.
Also, anyone can do what Hinkie did. I could do what most he did. The thing you need is Philly's owners, who allowed him to do it.
I'm curious if he "was willing to just move over into the coaching role" only if he got an extension for a salary close to what he was currently making.
I wish there was more buzz about who we're looking at to run the front office. Will be interesting to see if Tellum's presence makes it harder to hire someone good out of fear that Tellum will have influence over basketball matters even without the top title. I don't even know what I want right now.
“Another plaintiff claims the calls from her jailed fiancé — who committed suicide while incarcerated — placed a significant strain on her family’s finances” Aaron Hernandez?
What a dumpster fire. Eat shit Gores. Pistons haven’t been relevant in 10 fucking years, and have been dog shit since you bought the team.
