Yea zero chance I'm passing up seeing McCartney and Metallica. Those are tell your kids about sets. Weekend 1 kopped.
Forewarning to everyone: I've been a staunch Houndmouth supporter for years, but haven't seen them since Katie left. They're finally putting out a new album this year. This is the first song, and it is not at all the same sound on the first 2 albums and the EP. I'll hold my judgment until I hear the whole album, but not really a fan of the song
Hopscotch in Raleigh September 6th-8th Probably the best lineup I've seen. Getting Molly Burch out of Austin
At first I thought it was a joke but its grown on me. but please dear god dont make me listen to an entire album of that
Just got back from Hangout Fest yesterday. I was pretty impressed with the setup of everything and for the most part it was easy to get to most of the shows without feeling swamped by a ton of people. A few things of note: -ZEDD, Portugal The Man, Odesza, Tank & The Bangas, Bleachers, Foster The People, Grouplove & St.Vincent were my favorite shows -Manchester Orchestra did not sound as well live for some reason. -Thursday night was postponed because of rain. It would have been nice if Phantogram would have stuck around. But I know they had a bigger show in Red Rock on Saturday. -A friend really wanted to see Lil Pump. Dude was over an hour late and only played five songs. Which really doesn't surprise me as far as soundcloud rappers go. -Kendrick's show was good. But some of my friends said that you couldn't really hear him at sometimes. -The entire deal with the white girl dropping the n word during Maad City was comically awkward. Everyone around me was kind of shocked. But also laughing at how she didn't know the words to the song at all. -SZA's music doesn't really translate to a festival imho. My next move is trying to make it to ACL this October.
Im selling my extra 3 day pass to Forecastle Fest for $100 if anyone wants it. Edit: Sold on Stubhub pretty fast

What'd you guys think? Who were your top shows? This was the first time I haven't gone every day for like 5 years. Lineup seemed pretty damn mediocre. I streamed a handful of shows. Vampire Weekend, Chvrches, and borns all were pretty good.
