Been saying that for a while it could be a huge network TV event. Just don't know what you do about its length.
Adding commercials to an already 7+ hour event... They could do it. Do some PIP ads like they do for Smackdown. Have sponsorships up around the ring and stuff. But seems like there's some big hurdles aside from ads alone. Would basically destroy network subscriptions, but WWE is getting fuck you money right now so they probably don't care.
The entirety of the Super Bowl (including pre and post game) runs about as long as Mania. All you really need to do is run commercials between matches, considering that’s what the Network basically does right now anyway. You’re just going to miss out on the hype videos we have all seen a million times. My hunch is Fox would want the rights to Mania. You start coverage at 4 PM EST on FS1. Let that run until 7. Have the main show run 7-11 on Fox. You just have to preempt the local news for one night.
Fox did just lose the SB to NBC, right? Would make sense. Good point about putting the "preshow" stuff on FS1 too. Then the late news could have quick highlights in their sports segment.
Fox, NBC, and CBS alternate the Super Bowl every year. But yeah, I'm sure that interested network is Fox.
GOT's premiere will probably be 90 minutes long, plus another 90 minutes to digest and talk about it on the internet. By then, Mania will be on long enough I can skip through the crap and just watch the good stuff.
There's a certain date it has to premiere during April in order to make the cutoff for the Emmy nominations.
Rusev is amazing. I legit don't understand how WWE doesn't know when they have a top babyface on their hands
Even more so then, isnt he the perfect Vince heel? Big foreign guy that can go on the mic and in the ring?
Io pretty much official https://www.f4wonline.com/wwe-news/io-shirai-departing-stardom-headed-wwe-258556 If you’re not familiar with her, YouTube her. She does shit very few women are capable of doing. Or watch the Lucha Underground episode with Penta
That said, Io almost signed around last Mae Young Classic and then the doctors found some heart issue that concerned them and it fell apart. So we'll see.
I don't really agree with them that it kills the idea of PPV. The WWE already scuttled that model with the Network but they probably should never have put Wrestlemania on there. I know they use it to attract the 99c subscribers to look good for investors but I doubt they're nearly maximising what they could make for it as a standalone event. The Network will chug along fine at this point, there's more than enough on there.
B-Team BBQ is excellent. Rhyno with the tray of bologna sandwiches. Titus saying none of the food is seasoned.
I thought she was good but overrated in NXT, but she has been bad since the callup and had plenty of chances. Sure she has gotten some poor booking but it is partly her fault too
Bayley would have really benefited going to SD, fresh start and the hour less show would require her less mic time. Becky has hit a wall on SD Live as well, would have made sense to swap those two.
