Gilmour as a person and a musician is better than Roger, but Roger puts on a far better show than Gilmour.
Empty Spaces from the film is much better than the album version. When The Tigers Broke Free is also great, but somehow didn't make it onto the album.
I guess you're "them". Listen to it fucked up. Worked for me. Techno music was terrible until that one night when I ate a double stack Mitsubishi. Then I finally could hear Paul Oakenfold and the techno remixes sold at the FSU union back in 2001.
Saw Waters on his most recent tour. Was stone cold sober. Still amazing. One of the best shows I have ever seen, and I say that as much more of a Gilmour guy. I cried. Three times.
As a fellow geriatric I also saw this tour at Bobby Dodd while in HS. Best sounding concert I've been to. Was so clean. Astronomy Domine (Pulse version) is a great and underappreciated song imo.
Smoke some weed put on some nice headphones and just listen to Floyd and chill. It makes sense then. The other is to get high af put on dark side of the moon and synch it up with the Wizard of Oz (sync second Lion Roar (MGM) and mind will be blown.
I camping in Moab, Utah over Memorial Day weekend and did some acid and listened to Dark Side of the Moon and stargazed. I highly recommend doing that.
In all honesty, you shouldn't need drugs to enjoy Pink Floyd. It's not like we're talking about Phish or Bassnectar
I'd say the vast majority of my Pink Floyd listening has been either sober or just drunk. I do remember putting Animals on after smoking up one time though and having a solid thunderstorm peak as Sheep was on, thought the chaos outside fit the opening verses really well. In conclusion, team Animals
Just got into Meddle One of these Days is kick ass The funky, delayed bassline near the middle of the song yes please

I remember seeing Waters when he was doing the Wall, back in 2007. It was incredible and it's been far too long since I've seen him. He opened with In the Flesh? and it took until that moment to realize how bad ass that song is.
I assume all you team gilmour folks hold that opinion because of Waters’ legendary douchebaggery, but Waters is obviously the most important member.
He was the best lyricist but the least musically talented of the original group. Gilmour was the best, its that simple.
I haven’t seen Waters but I did see Gilmour during his rattle that lock tour and the show was incredible... some of his best guitar work is post-Floyd
Team Gilmour but I know Waters was the driving force in Floyd. I like guitar so I lean gilmour. I'd literally kill to see either
Classic Albums Live frequently do shows of The Wall, Darkside, and Wish You Were Here albums. They are all excellent. They also do a lot of other shows which are all pretty awesome like zeppelin albums, Beatles albums, and a ton of others
