As a Rays fan I am accustomed to being disappointed. So this worked out great because I hate surprises.
Well, come to think of it, there’s two. Attorney played at Savannah State. Other guy played in the ACC, then transferred home.
Nice sweep of the Jays. Bauers and Adames in the lineup. I actually like this team. You have to think in a couple years the Rays May have a hell of a squad.
Don’t tease me Actually I saw we had the 4th best farm system. Sucks about all the TJ injuries, especially to Honeywell
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but... Not a surprise, but sucks to read after this weekend. Really wish they’d hang on to Duffy. He could be a franchise cornerstone, IMO. I realize there’s a logjam with Duffy, Adames, Hech, Wendle, Robertson to play three positions. I’m fine with dealing Hech, but hate to see them going with Robertson over Duffy (finances, obviously). I’m like the world’s biggest Wendle fan, so I hope he sticks.
Best homestand in franchise history? 8-1 with wins against some of the best pitchers in baseball. The schedule is very favorable the rest of the way. Winning 85 games is a real possibility.
Guys, we are two games over .500. Cron has 17 bombs. Duffy is hitting .307. Bauers and Adames are up. Snell has 12 wins. The bullpen has been amazing. Is this real life? Ybor ballpark news coming later today.
this is random, but are any of you guys familiar with the hotels on St. Pete's Beach? I booked the Postcard Inn for my wife and I for a wedding this weekend and the bride told my wife to get ready for a frathouse atmosphere. it doesn't seem that way from the pictures or reviews so I'm hoping she's just annoyed we didn't book at the hotel they blocked rooms.
I've never stayed there but my wife goes with her friends when they do a girls night out. She loves it.
well it’s the same price as the room block at their resort which is Tradewinds. that was my only frame on reference.
Don Cesar > Tradewinds > Postcard Inn I worked at the Don years ago. It’s nice but definitely not the cheapest. Had a buddy that stayed at postcard and it’s just ok. Not terrible but not one I’d recommend.
When Postcard first opened, I had a friend go to the Grand Opening tour. His review was: “I didn’t know duct tape came in so many bright colors.” They used to have a terrible BBQ restaurant connected to it, but I think they changed concepts.
You’ll be fine. You’re by the beach and people who live here are generally overly critical about every place.
zeberdee, like the others said, you will be fine. The cockroaches that I’ve heard cascade from the shower (along with brown water) don’t even bite!
