I had a dream of a world where I was only judged by the color of my skin and not the content of my character
Because then he could just point and say “see they aren’t our friends, they are only trying to hurt us.”
I know it’s been a couple of decades since it happened but the RNC was hacked also. Their info just wasn’t released.
What was she-shoulders quote in that post election masturbatory piece from Forbes? Something about CA being central to their decision-making
So he wants Hillary locked up, but the person that attacked our country gets a free pass. He talks shit about EVERYONE...except Putin (and Stormy to a lesser extent). Seems like he is terrified to make Putin angry. Wonder why that is?
dk Here are the times in the last 20 months the 'moral majority' was unfazed by Republican immorality Some hypocrites pretend they aren't snake oil salesmen all going to hell. Spoiler Our country is a predominantly Christian country. However, there is only a minority slice of our country that believe they can call themselves the “moral majority.” Their hubris is only the phrase that was made famous by ginormous creep Jerry Falwell Sr. and has always been a strong trigger for bullshit warning systems around the world. The “moral majority” will say anything to support the most immoral behaviors and ideas and statements, as long as they are allowed to have a taste of that power and wealth. Here are a few examples from just the past election cycle that exemplifies what exactly the “moral majority” and by extension the Republican Party “stand for.” Tea party extraordinaire Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) is under the gun these days for what he did and did not know about young men being sexually mistreated while he was the wrestling assistant at Ohio State University. With eight former players, some of which were Jordan supporters, coming out to tell stories that completely contradict Rep. Jordan’s “I was dumb as shit and didn’t know anything,” defense, Republicans aren’t running for the hills—in fact, they’re “unshaken,” according to the New York Times. Speaker Paul D. Ryan of Wisconsin emerged on Wednesday as the latest prominent House Republican to defend Mr. Jordan. The majority leader, Kevin McCarthy of California, and the majority whip, Steve Scalise of Louisiana — both strong candidates to replace the departing Mr. Ryan — also backed him this week. Here are some times in the last 20 or so months, when “morality” turned out to be a “flat circle.” When Missouri Republican governor Eric Greitens was beset by scandal, including the very unsavory and criminal charges that he sexually assaulted a woman—who was herself married, and was not Greitens’ wife—and then photographed her in order to blackmail her into silence, the Republican Party did not condemn this man. No, they called it a “political hit job.” The “moral majority” was conspicuously silent on the matter. I guess … Jesus loved porn? I don’t know the bible as well as these evangelical types do; it must be in there. When women began telling their stories of a then thirtysomething Alabama Republican lawyer Roy Moore, trolling high schools and trying to pressure and sexually assault young teen girls, some Republican supporters tried to argue that these women should be charged for telling the truth. Roy Moore pretended that facts didn’t exist; and the “moral majority” explained that the laws of the land didn’t apply to Roy Moore, just the ever-changing and made up ones that are in the Bible—when the moral majority decides to use the rules on page 25 versus the ones on page 35. After Texas Republican Rep. Blake Farenthold was forced to resign because it turned out he had sexually harassed a woman working for him and then used taxpayer funds to pay her off in a settlement, top Republicans turned a blind eye and then welcomed him right back to work the other side of the money-changers’ table. The “moral majority,” blindingly quiet. And of course, who can forget the audio recording of Donald Trump bragging to Access Hollywood host Billy Bush about how he can just sexually assault women—especially if “you’re a star.” Then, of course, he denied it was him saying it, and then his pious surrogates explained that this was just “lock room talk.” Like how Jesus did! The morality of the “personal responsibility” party, the “moral majority” Christian right is non-existent. They are forced-birther, anti-child, anti-immigrant. They are not moral. In fact they are amoral, as they do not seem to have any real concern for morality, as their interest in it is so … dubious. There is a lot that’s been made about how Trump changed the Republican Party—that there are more moderate Republicans that are “aghast.” That may be true to some degree, but at this point, most of those elected “moderate” Republicans have made it clear: Donald Trump has only changed one thing about the Republican Party—he’s shown them that they don’t even have to pretend to be “moral” people to keep getting that “moral majority” vote—they just have to make a small place at the table for the “moral majority” leaders, the snake oil salesmen. You let them do the work of twisting God’s words into tithes.
OMG, I can’t even believe what I am watching. This show is better than Ali G. It’s not purely political and the characters are great. It is so fucking uncomfortable at times and the shit he gets people to do and tolerate is beyond belief. Don’t want to spoil it.
Lol I just recorded this and was coming to post it. Here is my longer version. This comes just before he gets the congressman to support it.
It’s great...but Ali G, Borat, and Bruno were just legendary characters. None of these new ones are on that level, but the material is obviously still hilarious.
Long but good. We knew the hubris of Dems fucked up the response, but this further exemplifies that. Republicans do not have shame or principles and care only about winning. There was not way those mouth breathers weren’t gonna vote for Trump. Also, insane how they let trumps conspiracy election rigging rhetoric dictate the response. I understand their line of thinking, but that’s when you put experts on tv and release real evidence. I don’t care if middle American preppers call it a false flag.
Sam Cunningham and USC’s all black backfield put up 42 on Alabama in 1970 and the SEC integrated soon thereafter.
Wow! To this day, I still think Trump doing the below was an indication of guilt and possibly even his version of strategy to prevent Obama and the government from being more aggressive about actions against Russia. There is absolutely no way in my mind that he was not 100% complicit in all of this and it makes me furious reading that article. I do understand the position Obama was in. Weeks earlier, Trump had started claiming that the only way he could lose the election would be if it were “rigged.” With one candidate and his supporters spreading this notion, it would not take many irregularities to spark a full-scale crisis on Election Day.
He’s not wrong. Outside of Warren, those candidates would get slaughtered in the election. And even if they somehow won, they’d be tepid fucking centerists.
Oh also this... The amount of concern on the part of the administration illuminated by that article that an escalation of the cyber measures would not favor us is pretty telling and exceedingly alarming.
Even though I thought the election was all but over I still could not believe that absolutely no one was making a big deal about Trump claiming the election was going to be rigged if he didn’t win in the weeks leading up to it. We really were completely fucked long before the election.
It was really infuriating in hindsight to see the Obama Administration’s final act culminate in wrong decision after wrong decision
This is a fucking scary article, but I feel it may be the current blueprint for where we are at. Must read, IMO.
Release news that state elections are LITERALLY being attacked. Trump is right, someone is trying to fuck this election...Russia is actively attacking us. Sad/funny part of that is that the vast majority of Trump/GOP at that point would’ve believed Russia was trying to help Clinton because of all the conservative Uranium One crap. GOP and Fox is a danger to society. That’s becoming less hyperbole and more factual.
Who cares if all our allies are laughing at us. Our enemies like us now. That’s how you get respect. Fucking traitoRs.
I don’t see how anyone can read this and not come to the conclusion that it was piss poor leadership at multiple levels, starting at the top with Obama. The article states that we knew about the Russian operation 2+ years before the election and the best counter strategy they could come up with was to threaten Putin with some “really tough consequences.” And these are supposed to be our best and brightest making these decisions? Putin knew from the “Red Line” comment, his apology tour, bowing to other countries .... that Obama was weak. We knew about this for that long and the only thing Obama did was expel some diplomats AFTER the election? Embarrassing!!
