Well if this is as of right now it’s pretty misleading. They just got 100 mil from selling Ronaldo and are probably about to spend a couple hundred on his replacements.
Think he’s referencing the fact that they’re doing good business now versus throwing money hand over fist at shiny new toys, growing tired of them after a year or two if they don’t win the league, and offloading them at a loss. They’ve shifted a decent amount intro investing towards the Iscos and Asensios.
The chart is more reflective of the fact that Real put together a really great young team and didn't need to add much to it. But Real sort of have a hybrid Bayern/PSG model in that they hoover up young Spanish talent. But they are such a draw for players that they can buy interchangeable high quality rotation and backups, and then sell them for profit. But unlike Bayern, anytime they feel like it, they can offer a staggering fee for a player like PSG and call them galacticos. They are going to spend lots of money on someone soon.
Idk about always, as that’s been a real recent thing with them. In a weird ass way Barca and Madrid are basically changing places and I don’t like it. Barca used to have a long tradition of actually using their youth talent to fill out squads and bolstering that with some super stars. Now their youth talent doesn’t even get a crack at the roster and they’re outsourcing everything. Barca are down to Messi, busquets, Pique, and Roberto as regulars and the first three aren’t getting any younger.
They should have good scouts. Their training ground has individual apartments for the players if they need to nap or whatever.
Arturo Vidal was declared transferable by Bayern. Atletico, Napoli and Manchester United are possible rumored destinations.
Leicester have agreed a £10m fee with Liverpool for goalkeeper Danny Ward. We understand Ward is being brought in to provide competition for Kasper Schmeichel, not to replace him. Ward is expected to take a medical and discuss personal terms in the coming days.
Thiago Alcantara wants to return to Barcelona, according to AS. The reported Manchester United transfer target has spent five trophy-laden years with Bayern Munich, but the 27-year-old has reportedly asked the Bundesliga club to grant his wish of returning to Barca. Bayern are thought to be open to selling the Spain international.
To piggyback, he wants to return to Barca but Barca has a policy about not buying back players that left. However, they have inquired about price, so who knows. ManU has been mentioned a bunch with him and Lewandowski. Bayern is interested in Anthony Martial, so i wouldn’t be surprised to see a swap. Unlikely, but wouldn’t surprise me.
More Bayern news: The agent of Ante Rebic cut his vacation short and is in Munich working on a deal. Eintracht Frankfurt is asking €40-50mil. Bayern was going to wait until players are sold, but ManU is pushing for Rebic and Kovac wants him over all others. As I mentioned, Benjamin Pavard has agreed to terms to join Bayern next year when his release clause is activated. This looks like it may happen soon, with a fee allegedly agreed upon by the two teams. Stuttgart is negotiating with Benedikt Höwedes to replace him. If Pavard moves this year, I wouldn’t expect Bayern to go after de Ligt, unless the rumors of Alaba wanting to go to Spain are true. Jan-Fiete Arp has already agreed to terms, as Bayern cares not about tapping up young Germans. Newly-relegated Hamburg are asking €5 mil for him to leave right now. Bayern offered €2.5. I look for that to get done and for Arp to be loaned to a Bundesliga squad not named Hamburg.
Just relaying what the media in Munich has been reporting. Doesn’t matter to me either way. I want to keep him.
Word. I went back and read it and and the verbiage was “are reluctant to bring players back”, which is obviously relative.
Amazingly Frankfurt will probably agree to sell him for 10 million and the promise that next time they have a player they will pay more
I think the actual number we've spent is closer to around 385m, but either way, I don't really have any fucks to give for it.
I like to dedicate my energy towards hating on Spurs and City and Jose; need a Liverpool and Klopp hater to step up.
I love when people have crazy vendettas vs a certain team, allaboutthecash vs ND is in my hall of fame eurojolly vs Auburn puts in the effort but he's just not very funny
