according to Slovakian reporter... Sagan will go to the hospital after the finish. No sense for how serious it is at the moment. Obviously its not so bad since he's continuing to ride.

Don't think the ITT on stage 20 is long enough for Dumoulin to make up 2 minutes. Barring something crazy Thomas is gonna win this thing.

I just used my first-ever tweet to chastise the Guardian reporter doing their live updates for making a clickbait post about Sagan not making the time cut.

If some people want to call that heroic, that's their choice.

    i disagree.

    Dumoulin, Dan Martin, Bardet...

Thomas has long been marked as a suspicious rider. All of a sudden, he's climbing with the best in the world and winning the TdF.

nope. I can see Dumoulin clawing back 30-40 seconds, but thats about it.

just go back to that stage to the Mur de Bretagne... when he punctured just before the climb and then got penalized another 20 seconds for the car tow. Thats how Dumoulin lost this Tour. Other than that, he's ridden a perfect race.

    Harsh, but fair.

Not a lot being said about it, but I always enjoy a llwyddiant Cymraeg so I'm looking forward to it. Just hope we can avoid the almost inevitable drug shaming at a later date

Started this stage knowing all he had to do for the green jersey was make it to Paris. There are people who think he isn't competitive enough, that he focuses too much on just having fun.

My conspiracy theory is that Froome was allowed to continue racing but only if he did not win the Tour this year as to take heat off the situation. So Sky just props the next rider up with go-go juice and they continue to dominate the Tour.

The Giro-Tour double is almost impossible. Froome is just worn down and tired.

and on top of that Froome looked like dog-shit at the Giro too, aside from that one epic day.

I love watching Nairo climb when he's in good form... I'm happy for him and all, but to me he's been really disappointing this entire race. he and his team have raced like a bunch of idiots. i don't know if his instincts are dog-shit all of a sudden or if he's getting bad advice from the team car. I said it a few pages back and I will say it again... I'd love to see him on another team.

Damn Sagan is looking rough today.

I have to imagine Bora's plan was for him to stay with the Peloton to the top of this first climb.

I think so too. Does show how bad off he is that he's a minute behind Degenkolb, Demare, and Kristoff. A real rarity in the mountains.

Think he can lose like 12 minutes on each of these next two climbs and still make it.

Edit: 30 seconds down now. 3 minutes behind the group he's usually finished with.

Really stupid how little coverage there is with 90+ riders still on the road. The tour's live tracker is already turned off for the day.

Almost complaining about a guy who's attacking off the front drafting is stupid. What do they expect him to do, sit up?

    Tell that to The Guardian:
NBCSN also covered it in a similar vein.

But obviously I agree it's on the moto, hence my criticism of the complaint.

Froome is in real danger of missing the podium now.

Roglic and Dumoulin are both better time trialers than Froome.

Last year Dumoulin beat Roglic by 57" in a similar length TT course at the World Championships. And Roglic was another 25" ahead of Froome.

It is definitely still possible for Dumoulin to win this thing, but I have to imagine Thomas will do enough for victory.

I'm more talking about he's been racing professionally for only 5 years. You're right he is too old to make any real impact, but its still wild to see his skill for only 5 years on the bike
